Come on claire, tell me that if you knew that the price of toilet rolls (for example) was about to quadruple tomorrow, you wouldnt go out and stock up on them and sell them on ebay?!!!!!!

I am sorry to disapoint but no i wouldnt, iif i was wanting to sell them then yes i would sell them on there as a normal auction and if someone wants to pay over the odds then so be it. My original post was about those that are selling on there as a buy it now auction at a price more then 5x the RRP that was my issue not normal bidding that is down to the person who is daft enough to pay over the odds. I have never understood why people do that.

As you read Hinza, a doctor recommended it. I gave both my kids dummies otherwise they wanted to suckle all day and night and it was the only way to get some rest - and give the boobs a rest!!

For anyone else looking for these dummies, TP have bowed to pressure and they have made some more and are available on the Tommy Tippee website for £3.99 a pair for the next few months only. So stock up now and not at £18 each!!

Cant see the problem myself, simple supply and demand, and no I dont see anything wrong with a huuuuge profit margin. Good on the sellers, find your angle and exploit it.

I once found an item in a skip, asked the owner if I could have it, and prompty sold it for 4K at Newark Antiques Fair.
did i feel bad about that whilst sat on a beach in thailand errr NO WAY :rotfl:

yes i swore when i had my little boy i was never going to give him a dummy but after finding he had a stong sucking reflex the GP recommended i give him one. since finding out that they have been discontinued i have since brought the new replacements and similar types all to find that they are different either with nodules on them or a different shape completely, and it just upsets my little boy so although they are the replacements are nothing like the others. Never mind i had to rant at those selling at silly prices i know its business doesnt mean i have to like it does it?

It's a case of retraining your nipper. Don't give up after one attempt. If the only dummy you offer him is a different one (and consistently the same different one) he WILL eventually take it. Babies are cretures of habit!

iiee, Maybe you'd like to see if the OP would like to buy them off you for what you paid for them plus the postage.
Mine are 0-3 month size (clever marketing ploy) so prob not much good. But I was joking about selling them anyway. I only bought them in Boots a few weeks ago and they had plenty.
