New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

I finally received my money today between 3-4pm - the relief is immense. This forum has been a life line for me. Thank you everyone for sharing information and keeping me informed.

For those who are still waiting it's def. worth calling the Alastair Hemming number (see earlier post). I called him/it this morning to put pressure on and it appears to have worked. I was even called by someone claiming to be his PA around 4pm today to check the money had arrived.

Transfer requested to linked HSBC - 7th Oct
CHAPS refunded to KE - 27th Oct
Transfer arrived in linked account - 7th Nov

After an almost daily ritual of calling KE and getting promises, more promises and even more promises my money has finally appeared - I hope I am one of the last to struggle with this mess.

Tempted to blow a chunk of it on bank shares :-)

Had to cut my weekend to Donegal short as my grand-daughter was taken into hospital for overnight observation but, guess what

37,800 little souls that were lost in KE/ING Purgatory have made their way to the Heaven which is PanicButton's Bank of Ireland A/c. I now have some idea how the father of the prodigal son felt - bring out the fatted calf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all those who gave me such unselfish support over the past weeks, you know who you are; I will be back in the morning to thank you properly and to continue to give my support to those still waiting.
