New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

Requested a CHAPS payment at 11am today, the money has disappeared from my account but has not showed up in the target account... should I be worried or are there still delays even now? Will I get a refund of the fee? Anyone else requested a transfer in the last few days?
ING had a notice on their web site saying CHAPS was still going to take a while so there was no point using it, and they recommended using BACS instead. This appears to have gone away.0 -

I am only speaking from my own experience but I would recommend using BACS, it’s free, mine completed the following day and appeared on my linked account as CHAPS.
I initiated a BACS transfer last weekend, to send the £20 CHAPS refund plus final interest credited on 1 Nov, to my linked destination account. The transaction appeared on the KE account 3 Nov and has appeared in my linked account 4 Nov as a CHAPS. So I am completely clear of KE and ING forever.
Hope this shows that the system is working and I am puzzled as to why some people still have not received their money. I can’t see any reason for them not treating every case individually now. Keep pestering them.0 -

Thank you, thank you, you brilliantly supportive people. I would not have handled this well alone:j :j :j :j
BRILLIANT NEWS !!! Tomorrow's sore head will just evaporate away when you remember why you were celebrating tonight !!! :T :T :T :T :T :T :T         :beer:0 -
Congratulations to all those reunited with their money today. Enjoy!
But yet again it's only a fraction of those still waiting. I'm hoping that some people haven't had a chance to check their account yet and will post later with good news.
At the rate ING is paying up, we may all be here for another few weeks yet. I hope that's not the case as ING is singlehandedly responsible for the ill-health and mental anguish of many of their 'new customers'.
It would be interesting to see how many ex-KE customers are still with ING by Xmas! I can't imagine any bank will have lost so many, so quickly, EVER. And it's ALL their OWN fault, nobody else's!!CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

I've just spoken to a chap at KE. They claim that all the outgoing payments will arrive in the designated accounts today but that they are using SWIFT rather than CHAPS which apparently is not working at KE. He said that SWIFT allows for transfers at any time up to midnight so that people could find their money popping into their account at any time.
It seems that Alastair Hemmings has been trying to move things forward as he specifically said that someone was looking into my case at the request of Hemmings. I therefore strongly recommend anyone still in no nan's land to send him an email or call him up on Monday. Apparently despite having explained on each occasion that I have spoken to them as well as in BOLD in written correspondence that I was trying to CHAPS money into my account on the 8th, they still managed to not understand this and therefore my own case is set to drag on till the next week.
Still it is fantastic news that so many have finally received their cash today and hopefully the bulk of people will get their money back some time this evening.0
