Lucky things and congrats!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL.....:TMoney requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/100 -
YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS...
I received this email today, as did some of you so I gather, but I received my money on Friday...so they are at it again!
Further to our recent telephone conversation where we committed to providing a response within 48 hours. Regrettably I have to inform you that the recent transaction from your Kaupthing Edge Account to your nominated linked account has been identified as being held up.
Whilst the instruction was given to process your transaction, we have now identified that the transaction has been held up at the clearing bank. As a result the payment has not yet been released and we are working with the clearing bank to release your payment in the quickest possible way so the funds are available to you as a matter of urgency.
We cannot stress enough that your money is safe and we continue our commitment to you in terms of resolving this issue.
ING Direct will refund the loss of interest on your Kaupthing Edge account that resulted from payment delays. CHAPS fees will also be refunded in cases where the payment was not sent within the normal timescale.
We appreciate your patience and we will update you shortly as to the timing of your transaction being released.
Yours sincerely,
Lianne Carson

Spooky how Kaupthing employees write identical emails despite considering us on an “individual case basis”.
Why do they still have my money!?!?!?
CHAPS 07/10 15k, received 07/10, CHAPSx2, 1 refunded
CHAPS 07/10 30k, received 30/10, CHAPSx1, 1 refunded
Told clearing bank rejected payment - both payments to same linked account0 -
They really havent havent got a clue!!
It is such an insult to everyone to send a generic email. I am too disgusted for words. To not even bother tracking or trying to find out. They should have been able to track that my monies had been received into the linked account requested. I am so sick of this and so angry for you all.Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/100 -
Thanks Steeppip i cant wait to get the email you got too !!!0

No email! No phone call! etc etc transfer missing from 8/10.

is the geographic(if thats the correct term) equivalent of the KE customer service number (08451313234). So use it to save on expensive phone calls.

Hi I am new to this forum. I withdrew money on 7/10 by chaps and have not seen a penny of it since. I have made numerous phone calls and just get fobbed off. On saturday and tonight they took details and said that someone will ring tomorrow but there was no mention of when i will get my money- apparently my details have been added to a spreadsheet- wow wee.
There maybe many people out there who like me have only just joined this forum but there money is missing - so the numbers with missing money may be greater than your figures appear.
I am normally a positive person and wait patiently and give people the benefit of the doubt but now I am upset, worried and angry. 3 weeks my money has been missing - vanished with out trace !!!!0 -
I haven't read all of this thread so I apologise (not to Kaupthing or ING BTW) if I'm repeating the experience of others but I'm so frustrated with these idiots I have to share this with sympathetic ears.
BACS payment requested plus closing the instant access account on 7th October. When I was told by the nice Kaupthing man that I really didn't need to panic, Kaupthing was safe. Ha.
Hadn't appeared by the promised Friday 10th. Told it would appear Monday 13th. On Monday 13th told Friday 17th because of problems owing to ING taking over. Then started believing the rubbish we were being fed about only 5% being affected, very sorry, clearing the backlog etc. Friday 23rd, nothing. Rang the notveryhelpful line on Saturday 24th to be told that the call centre staff had been asked to log everything for investigation and I would be called back on Monday. The woman I spoke to told me she had already been given one crime reference number for this fiasco.
Monday no call. Notveryhelpful line told me it was the responsibility of the administrators or ING. Ernst & Young said not their problem as ING had hold of the Edge accounts. ING spent half an hour on the phone to me insisting that they had nothing to do with it and it was in fact my fault for not asking my receiving bank if it was there.
Today I called the notveryhelpful line first thing to be reassured that despite the fact they hadn't phoned me yesterday my 48 time limit was up today and I would get a call today. Call at 6.20 ish this evening to be told that as I'd registered the issue on Saturday my 48 hours was up tomorrow because those calls didn't count until Monday. No I couldn't speak to a team leader because they were all on the phone.
Lying, thieving (and retaining money that isn't yours is theft in this country) cheats. Anyone had better luck?0 -
You are not gonna believe this but I'm on a promise...
No not that kind... one from the KE help line:
Now I know what you're thinking "don't count your chickens..." but half of it has happened!
They promised my FTB (brake request 13th(!)) would be back in the KE easy access (lol) tmoz... by 10:00am ready for me transfer back to my linked a/c. Well being the eternal optimist I checked it t'neet and lo! there it was, sitting in my KE easy access account, tax deducted, penalty deducted and with that "Come and get me.." look..:)
"No sooner said..." says I, slapping an immediate BACS request over the lot, bar a few quid to keep the account open for now... (trailing interest etc).
So: Still waiting but it's a little closer...
And by the way I don't think it's ING that's the willy in the woodpile... more info when I see my dosh in 3/4 days :fingers crossed:
Best of luck all - :sincerely:0
