thankyou! i would never would have thought to stick it in there, will do that tomorrow and if it dosnt i will chuck that one and start fresh with another

Hope you don't mind me sayng but it seems an expensive way to clean it if you fill a whole washing machine just for a mat?
I'd just put some hot water in the bath with a drop of bleach and some detergent.
Leave it to soak for half an hour then give it a rub and a rinse?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Each to their own I suppose. Hot water, detergant and bleach isn't free (especially if it marks the bath/clothes/carpet I hate using bleach as it always manages to get somewhere I don't want it) Of course should never mix chemicals. I don't put the mat in alone I put it with towels or cleaning cloths on half load with a reduced spin cycle.

If you get another don't leave it sat in the bath, pink mould thrives on damp/moisture hence it's always in the bathroom or similar damp places. Hang it over something after it's been used. One day I might be more organised...........

Hiya,
We havn't got one now, as OH replaced the old bathroom suite (which was long overdue), with a plastic cheaper version. The plastic is non-slip.
When we did have one, I used to lay the bath towel down and dry it off, then hang it over the shower screen. It seemed to help.0
