Monkeygirl, what kind of tub do have?
The only thing that came to my mind was to remove the rubber with butane spray/lighter fluid), but I have no idea what effect this might have on the surface of bath.
Whatever you do leave the plug in so as to avoid all of the bits blocking your pipes. My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

trusty old wd40, spray it on and leave it to soak and the bits should peel off. did this with some dodgy idividual non slip stick things on shower floor, which was plastic, hth,

Its either fiberglass or palstic so i'm informed. I shall try the wd40 first I think don't think my breathing could cope with lighter fuel today.0

Hi All,
I am sure you can help?
I don't want to replace bath mat again for LO. I am sure I can do something easy to clean all the grunge off the bottom of a bath mat(not baby!!)-I live in hard water area..
I think it must involve soaking in something..:D
Thanks
JT xIt's great in here!0 -
Is it a completely rubber bath mat or one with a rubber backing? I saw rubber bath mats in Asda priced at £1.79.0

I was shamed into replacing ours recently - very cheaply - and am now removing it after showering and letting it dry over the edge of the bath. Result: no grunge at all!!!Resolution:

I just put mine in the washer on a 40 degree wash every week with the bath mat toilet & pedestal mat etc it comes out clean every time, don't use a hot wash or it will go sticky and you'll need to throw it out, I've done this before so had to replace it0

My rubber bath mat recently turned from a lovely spearmint to a funny brown colour (nice!). I just squirted bleach over it and left for 30 mins and rinsed off - most of it came away.0
