I look at the advertisements on tv for that device that holds paper to clean the toilet that you can then just flush away and think "now that'll do the job!"

benefits and work have an excellent guide but unfortunately you have to be a member to access it and there is a charge. however i have had so much help form the information on their website, that i think it was well worth the money, so much so that i extended my membership for another year even though i wont need the dla guides again for a while. they are very up to date, and keep abreast of the news re the benefits they deal with.
the guide on there made the form appear a lot less awful this time time round (first one i have had to do since my very first claim as i had someone else to do them for a few years). they didnt contact my doctors this time, just renewed it ....which again makes me want to know what has been said about me in the past, and did they use old medical evidence that is still relevant or what?
just take the forms a question or part of a question at a time. it took me a good 4months to get mine completed this time, but i wasnt in any hurry as they send the renewal forms out 6months before your current award ends.
I used the benefits and work guide, paid the subscription and it was worth the money. I got my daughter to write it as I spoke. It still took about a month, just a bit at a time. Mine was awarded this time without them asking anything from my doctors too. It is really dificult to get started and very depressing to write about all your problems/difficulties.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I got myself a new laptop about two weeks ago and since then my hands and wrists have been really painful, more than usual. Does anyone have any idea on how to sit with a laptop on my lap and not make my hands and wrist so much worse?poohbear59 wrote: »somebodyelse, My first head injury was when I was 3 years old when I fell out of an upstairs window and landed on my head!! No hope for me then!
I have always had nightmares/night terrors, earliest I remember was when I was about four years old. My family had no sympathy when I was young. DH was a bit freaked out about it to start with but after 24 years married he has got used to it to a certain extent. I have never thought to mention it to a doctor. Re, the epilepsy, a consultant I saw a few years ago decided not to test me as he was sure he would get a positive diagnosis and didn't want me to lose my driving licence. I don't drive much now anyway.s/e0 -
veryunsure wrote: »Hi, I have had it suggested that I may have fibro - thingy. (by a doctor). My GP said maybe, maybe not, there is not test or treatment, is this true? I do have spinal problems (lower back and neck) but I seem to get other symptons too, like scalding hands, aches and pains, and oh so tired. I must admit I have seen the size of this thread and haven't the energy to page though it all so apologies if this has been asked and answered before.
Good luck, I hope you get some help soon. I can't read through all the thread either, we all understand as we are all in the same boat here.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

somebody_else wrote: »The short answer is that you do not use a laptop on your lap. Yes, I know they're called laptops, but if you want to b u g g e r up your hands/arms for good you're going the best way about it. I actually have mine on a stool in front of the sofa. Partly that's about typing positon for my hands and arms, but it's also about not being able to bear the weight of it on my legs.

That explains why my legs feel so awful too. I hadn't thought about the laptop, the restless legs have been worse. I really wanted the laptop to make things easier, not worse. Sometimes I have it on the worktop in the kitchen, that is really uncomfortable.
I have a tray/table I can use. I will give it a go this afternoon.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I agree with s/e (what are the chances of that!) about not having laptop on lap. My Physio gave me a good taking to about that. For me it also exacerbates (oooh, get her!) the pain I have in my neck as I'm angling it to look down. also sitting on the sofa using it doesn't give your back the right support.
It's rather apt that you came along Poohbear, considering my embarrassing question!!!
I was a very naught girlie today. Took myself out to lunch. That's something I do every month or so as there are a couple of bistro-type places that are sole women friendly in town, but I also had a glass of wine!! I know I shouldn't have, but I just wanted to feel relaxed and it's my treat up front for doing some housework this avvy.
So, washing machine on, dishwasher on and about to happily shred a load of papers.
Wish me luck folks!

I am back from the doctors. She tells me that my current extra problems are probably all side effects of my new meds. That is something else, of which we all need to be aware.
carefulwiththataxe I applaud the idea of special time out treats.
Also, with regard to laptops, I wondered why I had the new neck pain.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
