I have sent 3 signatures back now, what the hell are they doing with them (eating them).
Last time I had to resent my registration form back and I put my signature in with the form. Today I received a letter from them, thanking me for the form with another signature paper, saying I never sent a signature back could I sign this and send it back. Are they blind "it was in the same envelope"!

Is this really a Bank? its over a month now.

I applied for it online and they've sent me the pack by post. After reading the problems you lot have been having, I've decided not to go ahead with my application!

 I suggest you are too late! I applied online on 20th OCTOBER.I have only just received my registration code to start online banking-23 days later. I can now do a BACS transfer to Tesco out of my RBS account, but I can't WITHDRAW any money as Tesco haven't set up my DD details-posted on 26th October.I have done a trial £1 so should be able to do a bigger transfer now, in time to get my bonus clubcard points.I had to post another form on 4th Nov to get my online registration code!! I phoned 01423 534763 -from the Say No to 0870 site-and spoke to a helpful customer services adviser. She said to apply for the card reader-which takes 15 days to arrive, but the card should come first. This way I can set up the new payee-ie my RBS account, with the card and my own RBS card reader. She says it can take 21 days for them to scan in the DD mandate, the details of which should then appear when I log in! I told her a lot of people on this site were having huge delays, She was very sympathetic and will pass my comments on.

You might just get in. Tesco website NOW says

Please note: As long as we have received your application by the 12th November and you have the required balance in your account on the 30th November you will be awarded the Clubcard Points.

So depends what they mean by "received your application" and as you click on apply now on the website at the very first stage maybe this qualifies (?). Check with Tesco helpline what they mean.

And then you have to get the cleared balance in by 30 November which will be touch and go if you read back through the forum.

On a separate note (relevant to Isofa) Tesco told me today there is a general delay in sending out the card pins. Should take 3 working days but currently taking about 6 working days. I'm still waiting for card reader 10 days after ordering (supposed to be sent within 15 days).
MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here :D

I have a direct debit set up for my annual RAC. I didn't know you could use your points for this. This is a really good idea - I might look into. Thanks

I also use my points for magazine subscriptions -for myself AND as gifts. The new Double Up wine deal is good. £5 of vouchers buys £10 of wine through the Tesco Wine Club.I ordered £100 worth when they had the recent big wine event-free delivery over £99- when some of the cases were roughly half price. This meant I only paid about a quarter of the normal price! The bonus points offer is the ONLY reason I am sticking with the Internet Savings account....

And a further update, card reader arrived this morning, so I expect the PIN will arrive in a few days.

Well a final update (!) PIN arrived today, so in total 33 days to get it fully "set-up" in my experience. And anything I was asked to do online or return by post, was done immediately.

Hope the interest rates stays high, otherwise we'll all be jumping ship ;)

Anyone know if they account actually says the interest rate? I've logged in and can't find it. Given how banks like to launch new account, then cut the rate on old ones I rather like online bank accounts where you can see the rate that applies. Tesco's doesn't seem to have that nor a historical rates list. Given that they only pay out interest once a year a rates history is very important, as is clearly showing the current rate.

As with everyone else I am appalled by the hopelessness of their performance. BTW their online site even has a broken link to the account T&Cs.

I didn't note when I did the online application but it has taken 16 days since writing the £1 cheque and returning to forms to get to an open account that I can view. The online code arrived today but this morning it said I hadn't sent back the signature form. By late this afternoon it said I had and I could actually log in. Card reader is ordered so we'll see how long that takes.

Tesco Finance 6.5% - I applied a month ago theyve been holding my cheque. Complained they hadnt sorted it - reply - "Oh we are very busy" Told them to shove it. ONly the 1.5% bonus is guaranteed 1 year so expect the 6.5% to become 5.00% very soon. They are having us for mugs.
