Capital One Classic and Barclaycard Initial instant online acceptance. I was informed on the credit limit via letters on both the cards.

Been referred for an Abbey Zero, although I am not holding my breath on getting accepted!

Instant decision for a Barclaycard Platinum card recently and i got an instant decision for a card from Virgin last night. Virgin also told me my credit limit on the acceptance page.

I haven't applied for many cards but in the past Egg, Capital One, Citi were all instant. Only time i was referred was for a Bank of Scotland card and was declined. Ironically they have been my bank for 10 years, have an Ultimate Rewards account and my mortgage with them and turned down for a poxy credit card?

I never even appealed it as i found it laughable. :D
  • i applied for a virgin credit card online last weekend expecting an instant decision but all i got was the " we will contact you in 7-10 days" message, i thought that was there way of saying no so wasn't really expecting to get approved, anyway this morning (Thursday) i had an email from them stating it had been approved and the limit will be a staggering £9000

I applied for a virgin cc on thursday (a week ago today) and got the same message (we will contact you in 7-10 days) but still not heard back from them! I'm guessing this means it's a no!!
  • Last two have been instant online acceptance.
Tesco Clubcard Credit Card - for 12 months 0% on purchases.
    M & S Mastercard - for 15 months 0% on purchases.
I can't remember if Tesco advised credit limit at application but M & S only did when they sent the card. Plus I had to sign and send a physical paper credit agreement.
  • Applied for a Virgin card, and was told that it had been successfull (and even told the credit limite - £2900). Then the said that they would confirm via email in 48.

Didnnt hear back within 48 hours but 96. I assumed that the difference was because it was a Saturday when i applied.

Just had an instant yes from Virgin over the telephone but no clue as to balance limit. Email arrived instantly for the terms/conditions and I went through, read it and accepted, but still nothing that said what the limit will be.
  • I've still not heard anything back from virgin!! Might apply somewhere else...

Just wait. You'd look desperate to credit to other lenders if you applied somewhere else anyway.
