Hi all,
Sorry to cross-post, but if you read my other thread - link below - below, you'll see I just made an online application for a Citi Bank iTunes Credit Card for the 4.9% APR life of balance.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=15182285#post15182285
I filled all the screens out, made sure I didn't take out any PPI or other rip off extras, then clicked submit and got:
Has anyone ever got an instant decision please?

Well... yes, I guess. Specifically Citi Bank, but any other instant decisions people may have had (to make me feel bad), unless it's because I chose to transfer £5,000 during the inital online application ?.0 -
Ive had this with most of the cards I have applied for - Amex, MBNA and Barclaycard for sure, cant remember my Egg card, but they were all accepted eventually!0

I was accepted instantly for the Egg Money card about 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing that credit history has a say in whether you get instant acceptance or not? I've only ever had 1 other credit card and have a top notch credit rating. Someone who has more cards/problems in the past with credit etc may well be given the 'we'll contact you' so a real person can review the request? I'm totally guessing here but it makes sense right?0

I've had online decisons from:
Egg Card
Mint Card
Virgin Card
and that was with selecting NO for PPI but they were not big limitsxXx0 -
I have excellent credit rating.
I have had same message "If your application is approved, we will send you your card within 7-10 working days" from Capital One today.
I take it as rejection...or if approved ....a lower credit limit...All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.0 -
I guess the reason they have the "call you back" is because your details you put on don't exact;y match the credit report they are searching? I looked at my Experian report and turns out my address is registered differently to how I normally quote it (Flat 2 rather than Flat
?
I had it with Amex but they called a few days later to say i got approved and ran through the whole card and benefits and discussed whether the credit limit would be enough for my needs etc. So I was plesantly surprised as they rejected me the past two applications.0 -
In my lifetime - 12 credit card applications. One instant decision (declined).
Out of the other eleven, six were accepted after their manual consideration. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0
