My zips still aren't here :(, the facbric is though and it's gorgeous. I've been naughty and bought this pattern http://www.keykaloupatterns.com/product/pocket-clutch-pdf-sewing-pattern. I've got some navy material with little white spots which I think I'm going to make into that. I'm enjoying all the nautical type stuff about that the moment.

Also, I got my third pay rise in 9 months today which is great :).

I've been thinking about my £365 in 365 days money. I'm considering taking £100 off of my overdraft each time I get to another £100, otherwise it's just sitting in my drawer doing nothing. As much as I like the idea of starting the year with £365 in cash I'm going to have to pay the overdraft off in any case, and by the end of the year I should only be left with a max of £400 (though ideally none).

I've been so bored today, work doesn't seem to interest me at all now which isn't good, and my zips still aren't here :(.

I've decided to go mad and put the loan into my sig. I figure the more I have to look at it and how horrible it is the more inclined I'll be to pay it off faster so that I can save for my own house.

Thanks you two. The loan is under £9,500 so the next step is to be under £9000.

My zips still aren't here so I'm starting to worry they've got lost in the post.

Today has been a disastrous spending day. OH and I went to Horsham so that I Could go to the haberdashers as they have a big one there. The plan was to spend no more than about £15 on bits to make things with the patterns I've got. I actually spent £10 something so that was under budget, but we went into Wilkinsons and I saw some storage drawers which I thought would be great for my jewellery bits as the drawers are quite shallow. I ended up getting two of them at £10 each (I really need to have it all in one place, having tens of different boxes isn't working very well any more because I have so much stuff).

To make it worse I also ended up spending £20 on a pair of shoes, the worst part being that I had a 20% off voucher for New Look at home but they only had one pair in my size and I'd been looking for ages so I didn't want to risk it. I bought a navy dress about a month ago but I didn't have any shoes I could wear with it and these are the first pair of navy shoes I've seen. To be honest the petrol and parking wouldn't have made it worth going home anyway, it's still annoying though.

    Must stop spending!

Thanks Lilac. I have good news to report today, I've got rid of my barclaycard. I got the Amazon card just before christmas and I don't need two credit cards so I've cancelled the barclaycard one today. I figure the less credit I have come the time I have to go on the mortgage the better. I also sold another necklace which gave me another £15.

I've paid off my cc bill today which was £207, it isn't that bad as most of my spending goes on that each month. I think £50 a week isn't too bad as it includes petrol. I do spend a bit of cash but not much.

I tried to pay another £170 off of the loan today, but the payment goes on the 6th and you can't make overpayments close to the date the payment is due because of the way direct debits work or something... Granted 9 days isn't that close, but I guess they're taking the weekend and bank holidays into account too. Anyway, I'll get paid on Thursday, so with the next overpayment and the scheduled payment for the 6th £470 will be coming off of the loan taking it below 9k :j.

Well done on your necklace sale.

Cancelling old card was a good idea, i have 2 CC but i only really use one. Ive been thinking of cancelling mine but just never get round to it.
