Seriously!
Is it just me, or does there seem to be a national shortage? I'm talking about the stuff in tubes, a storecupboard staple, I usually buy Tesco or Sainsbury's own brand.
Even tried Asda at the weekend but they had none either...

the sainsburys i work at have some, havent checked tescos or asda0 -
OMG im glad im not the only one to notice. Went to tesco the other day there was no tomato puree in any brand not even expensive.. not tinned tomatoes only the highest brand and i am not paying over the odds for them.
Shelves of tomato-ey things were gone

I've see it recently but can't remember where is was, it was definately at a cheaper shop either Aldi/Lidl/Farm Foods. Think it was probably Farm Foods.0

This thread has had me in fits of giggles - I thought it was just me but I've had tomato puree on my shopping list for about 6 weeks as the Tesco in Sandhurst (Berks) has not had any for AGES! I have been asking everywhere!
I found some in my closest big Sainsbury's the other week and they only had a few left.

there were some salmonella outbreaks in the tomato crops in America , not sure if its linked to thatEx forum ambassador
