Yes but with over a months interest lost on non fixed rate accounts and on fixed rate accounts if you want your money now.

that's true but remember they are already going WAY beyond what they need to do - covering the Iceland part & honouring over £50K

The way you need to look at it is the extra interest which Icesave were paying above other banks in some part covers what you are losing now

Second email received Sunday afternnoon, claim lodged immediately, money in linked account today. Well done FSCS.
  • Got both my emails and my money some time back. However
Has anyone who had an ISA got there letter saying they can reinvest in another ISA?
Also has anyone who opted to leave their fixed rate money, till it matured got their paperwork for that?
To put it simply has anyone had any of the promised stuff that was to be sent by post?
Its a bit too early to chase it if nobody has had any but if the rest of you are getting it maybe I do need to.

I think you are jumping the gun a bit. The ISA paperwork takes up to 2 weeks after your withdrawal. I'm sure the fixed rate paperwork is going to be bottom priority - they said 6 weeks for that and I expect they will use it all.

I would imagine (hope) that they are giving priority to giving people their money back and then sending out forms.

Forms for paper claims because people havent been able to use the online system should be a priority.

Yes I agree with your priorities. Yes it's not actually been so long. When waiting time seems to drag.

no paper forms for claiming yet. told a few days ago that they should go out by 4 december. (icesave cocked up and i have no external bank details with them, and they can't process that sort of thing any more.)
  • I think its time to dust off the Puffin gear.
Would it kill the FSCS to update fixed rate bond holders on the paper process?
When will we get the forms? When we initiate? Or after 6 weeks?

We are towards the end of week 3 of November, i still dont have my 2nd email.
They are not keeping their promises. FACT!!

What on earth are you talking about? They are doing what they said they would, it's just that you are incapable of reading and understanding simple instructions.

If you want to use the paper process, you don't "initiate" the online process. It's either/or. As has been repeatedly stated, they will send out paper forms after the 4th December to anyone who has not successfully completed the online process. The 6 weeks is the turnaround time they're aiming for the paper forms - i.e. from when you send them back to when you get your money (assuming it's owing and not e.g. an un-matured fixed rate bond).
