Grrrrrrrrrr Customers

WHY OH WHY Do customers moan when they knock the pump over by a penny then refuse to pay it? or give another note to pay the penny, THEN ACCUSE ME OF KNOCKING IT OVER, HOW CAN I DO IT?

Or people who refuse to pay the penny then demand a VAT receipt then claim the full amount back

Cheek of you customers

    penny pot on the desk?

I always pay petrol with cash as it's one of the most likely places to get your card cloned!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Why do people have to insist on trying to round it to the pound anyway?

Just stop at any figure xx.33 xx.47 what does it matter?

Must be the same people who have to set their alarm clocks exactly to the hour, never xx.59 or xx.01

We don't have one in our garage, plus with the pin pad you can see the cable run the whole lenght from the pin pad to the unit (They say it reassures people if they see the cable - don't ask)

    One extra Clubcard point! ;)

You get 1 point per £1 spent on fuel, so if you put in £23.99 you only get 23 points, put in £24.00 and you get 24 points.

If I go over by a penny I usually round it up again. I'm usually only filling up to a round amount because I'm too strapped for cash to fill it up completely.

Except when there's 5p a litre off - then round to the Litre, not the £ - one extra 5p off :p

My brother has a touch of OCD(he is very funny!) He likes his bank account to have a nice round number in it, so if he has £537.16 in his account next time he gets petrol he will put in £12.16 or £37.16 for example, lol. Me and my mum both have his account details and send him random amounts of money to mess with his account:o

  • A few months ago, I filled my car and went it to pay. In front of me was a man who was adament he had only filled his car with £30 of petrol, not £30.01 and refused to pay the penny.

The assistant said, quite rightly in my view, you've had £30.01 of petrol, you need to pay £30.01. The man carried on saying he hadn't knocked the pump over, it must have been the assistant or another customer.

The man then refused to let anyone else pay until he could on pay £30. In the end, I gave the assistant the 1p as after 20 minutes and at 10pm at night, I wanted to get home.

I then was accused by the man of knocking his pump over by 1p and I was obviously guilty, otherwise why would I pay the 1p. I was at a pump on the opposite side, no word of thanks, just abuse as I left.....won't bother next time!

Why are some people SO an*l that they'd rather spend 20 mins of their life arguing over 1p rather than admitting they were wrong!?!

I would have also given him the 1p (whilst doing my !!!!!! sigh), and if he dared to accuse me of bumping it up by 1p, then I would have called him something rather rude and taken the 1p back!!
