It depends what kind of car boot sales - I do one most sunday's which is in a large farm and I have met some great contacts as they get to know me - don't sell a huge deal but I take some mixed tealights in bags of 2 or 3 and sell for few pounds and then get talking to people and can tell them how to get the products FREE - especially the Hurricane most people love this and draws them to the table! I have the special offers laminated and put this on the table!

I might try that then. Will have to wait til I've got some money though to buy a few items. Not working at the moment and no money coming in.

So it will cost me £3 for postage but how will they work out the refund of the difference to my sister as the item she wants is less expensive.
Put your sister's card details so they can refund her! It costs £3 if they ordered incorrect item but if it was faulty it would cost you nothing.

No pls don't spend your money - use the items you got in your kit until you start making money - or even better bring someone in like yourself and get gift vouchers!

What can I sell at boot fairs, though? People would expect to take something away (and I doubt they'd pay the retail price) and I'd end up with no kit! I'm trying with sponsoring, but all I'm getting is enquiries and then thanks, but not for me.

TBH I'm on the verge of packing up, I just want to clear my kit first. Not sure I'm really cut out for this game - feel like a complete failure.

Stop take deep breath and chill - even if this doesn't work out for you - you are NOT a failure - it just means its either not right time for you or just not your thing.

I go along to boot fairs - not really to sell but to talk to people - get new contacts show them what they can get FREE -

Don't give up just yet - doesn't cost you anything to keep trying - maybe after summer leading up to xmas might work out better for you !

sorry its not working for you but please be bit more patient!

I'm trying not to get disheartened - I do want to make this work, but it seems impossible at the moment! It's off-putting when lots of the other girls are doing well (not that I'm not happy for them).

I know these things do take time, but I haven't even got my first six parties.

Please dont give up Liz, Im struggling like you, think we started pretty much the same time. Where abouts are you? If your clsoe we could muddle through together, Im in Notts? I am slowly trying to make a list of every one I could contact be it for parties or fundraising then contact them one by one...I think with time it'll get there and I love the products to. I am also being sneaky and giving them to people for brthday presents etc to try get them hooked. Sneaky Nat but its got to be worth ago. I havent even had my first proper party and like you havent cleared my kit yet. However I know if we keep going we WILL get there eventually. This is one of the only things I manage to look postively at the moment, and thats because I LVOE the products myself so much and really know that they should sell especially in the run up to christmas! Even if thats all my family get lol! We'll get there Liz really we will. If you want to chat PM me.

Re the what can you sell at boot fairs, Id just put some tealights or votives nicely wrapped (with a business card in) and sell them for a £1 or so diesnt need much to get them hooked. Or have like a raffle thing like the kids do where you pick 5 tickets out a tub and if it ends in 5 or 0 they get a prize and have two different types of prizes a nice candle one (nothing expensive though maybe a couple of pounds worth depending on how much you charge for tickets) and then something cheaper for the other number maybe chocolates. (I assume you can do that anyway) simple things to get people in and talking. I wouldnt sell expensive things. You can get the wax in the consultant orders. Think the tealights worked out about £4 for 12 so about 33p each so with a bit of imagination theres ways. Whilst your talking to them while they do bits you can push the parties and tell them all the bits they can end up getting free.

Cheeky, I'm in Bristol, so a bit of a trek, but thanks for the offer!

Have just had a downer on life today, but feeling better now. I am going to try and get out and do more things, should get there eventually! I'm afraid I'm just not a very patient (or positive) person!

I need to wait a bit though as I literally don't have any money for wax or anything at the moment.
  • Hi Liz

Have you done a house party inviting all your neighbours etc? At my house party 2 of my neighbours came and one spent £75 and one spent £40 so pretty good for people I didn't know!!
