Well only two people turned up at the party, both placed orders though and loved the products which is good. No where near clearing my kit but guess its a step in the right direction....

Have also been thinking about the conference to, Im thinking I will more than likely come, when you think about how much a night in a nice hotel would cost anyway the price doesnt seem so bad, and Im sure it'll be good fun. Although Im very nervous about not knowing anyone.

Hi ladies, I have been reading this post with great interest now for a couple of months. I had my starter show back at the end of March and made £311. My first party is tommorow and I have two more booked (17th & 20th) .

I am a bit concerned by raffle prizes. As I have yet to accumulate surplus stock I am stuck on what to give? I have bought some wine. Will this be ok? What do you do? I know my leader gives lovely partylite gifts, but she has been doing it for years. How much shall I charge for tickets? Help!!!!!

Displayed my kit today and it looks lovely :-) Any tips for displays?

Ordered the Linear lites three wick holder and it came today. So gorgeous!!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Instead of doing a raffle I use the candle pool. I know many other girls do this too. You sell squares/raffle tickets for £2 each and then the winner gets all the money to spend in the catalogue. It also gives the hostess extra commission and you extra comission.

Thanks Donna - The candle pool sounds like a brilliant idea. It means no outlay for me at this stage and more commision!! Brilliant idea!!! When you say a square - what do you mean. Do you cut out squares or have a grid????

For games such as left and right - what prize do you give??

I do the candle pool as well but normally in advance of the party so more chance someone who isn't there wins but see if you do it on the night if someone wins say £30 but was going to spend £30 anyway so it isn't really an extra sale or do you find that these people do spend more as they see it as an extra freebie rather than paying for their shopping list night - if you get what i mean;-)

I have sent the candle pool in my party pack that I sent to the hostess, I am hoping she does it as then like you say it might be won by someone not there meaning more sales...

I was going to do the snatch and grab raffle at my parties as well as either the handbag game or left to right game depending on if people have all got handbags
