  • take it you have to be at conference to get all the goodies and if you're not there then you don't get entered? Ie you know how at the moment in reflections they talk about sponsoring etc and getting tickets for a draw then i presume that even if you have loads of tickets then you must be at conference for them to be entered.

yes all the promotions going on at the moment are geared for Conference - some people work all year for the awards at conference as there are many for annual and then they bring out various ones for the run-up so that everyone has a chance of being up for something.

I think I will try and get there - it's only an hour or so on the train from me and an advance ticket is cheap. I'll send my form in later.

Ask at a florist, they'll usually sell you some.

I'd love to come to the conference but it clashes with my already booked holiday.

I'm getting a bit concerned. After finding out you have to pay out of your own pocket for the booking gifts I have also been told that you get charged for the monthly letter/reflections that is sent out. Is this true? I don't remember being warned of this?

I'm worried now because I don't want to take this on as a career, just to earn a bit of extra cash but if I keep having to pay out for things then I'm just not going to get anything out of it.

ps. On a lighter note I did get my Gaia tealight lampshade today and its very cute. Probably wouldn't buy it if I was buying myself something but hey ho everyone has different tastes.

First of all you are only out money for the booking gifts after you have earned all the money from the parties and at the very most you would pay out £15 for gold gift after having 3 parties booked and earning from that - if you take an average party of £300 then you would have earned £180 so not bad, as well as the parties then booked from that.

I can honestly say you don't keep paying out money or else I wouldn't still be here as I have too many mouths to feed and working to earn money -hope this puts your mind at rest!

You do not pay anything else except for £3 a month which comes off your commission statement - so if you don't earn that month you don't pay anything - this covers you for reflections etc and paperwork.

It is one of the games I sent you - in the folder at the back - you basically start off by handing a wrapped pressie (2 tealights or something like) to the hostess then start reading the story every time you say left or right they then hand the gift in that direction - the winner is who is holding it at the end.
