First of all you are only out money for the booking gifts after you have earned all the money from the parties and at the very most you would pay out £15 for gold gift after having 3 parties booked and earning from that - if you take an average party of £300 then you would have earned £180 so not bad, as well as the parties then booked from that.

I can honestly say you don't keep paying out money or else I wouldn't still be here as I have too many mouths to feed and working to earn money -hope this puts your mind at rest!

You do not pay anything else except for £3 a month which comes off your commission statement - so if you don't earn that month you don't pay anything - this covers you for reflections etc and paperwork.

Because I cleared my starter kit I only earned just over £5 commission. Is that why they haven't paid me anything? Surely I should still get a couple of quid?

It is one of the games I sent you - in the folder at the back - you basically start off by handing a wrapped pressie (2 tealights or something like) to the hostess then start reading the story every time you say left or right they then hand the gift in that direction - the winner is who is holding it at the end.

Lol I saw it in there but couldnt understand what to do! It makes sense now though thanks :T

So if you dont earn anything that month do you still get the reflections magazine? The booking gifts Im thinking along the same lines as you candlegirl, you wouldnt have to buy them if the other parties hadnt done at least £165 plus another booking (have I got that right so I think thats about a minimum of £33 comission for each party plus another in the pipeline, so in the long run they arent costing you anything, just helping you to profit,as the incentive is there for more parties, and am sure you can claim this as a cost on your expenses for the tax man - sure candle girl will clarify, likewise with the reflections magazine thingie, its helping you improve I guess, and I waste money like that on magazines anyway so maybe it'll stop me buying the others so I wont be any less out of pocket.

Like you I am trying to do this to make ends with a bit more of an overlap so dont want to be out of pocket but at the moment although yes there are costs, I think they are costs that help you to prosper and improve to sell more??

Just hope my parties go well.....my starter party isnt looking great as people keep dropping out. At the moment I only have 2 definates plus my sister who is a student, so has no money at all, am trying to show the catalogues to poeple who cant come though, but some want to hold there own party instead....

What I would say is that my starter party was pretty pants but in my first party I covered my kit. I only have two parties planned for April and I think may get bookings from the first one but probably not the second.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I only have one booking for April so far, but I'm hoping to double on each party I do - 2 bookings from that, another 2 from those etc. I'm afraid I'm guilty of wanting it all now, but we've all got to start small.

Girls its great to see how you are really all starting to answer your own questions you are all coming on great!

Just me - I would have a quick word with your leader and she should clarify everything for you maybe face to face just so you feel a bit more at ease - you should have been paid commission on anything which goes over £300 and just like Daisy says the girls at the office are the friendliest office staff I have dealt with and really will go all the way out to help you with any of your queries.

Cheeky you have got it spot on and well pleased with how well and quick you are picking everything up - you will soon be keeping me right (lol) anyway Im sure your starter party will be fine and you also have people willing to hold parties for you so if you don't clear your kit you will soon after.

Liz - You are also got your head in the right place - so many people join party plan and expect quick money for no effort and unfortunately for most people you have to put time and effort into this as it is a business and with patience and effort it will eventually pay off for you unless you are very lucky and have lots of contacts.

Happy Easter girls and don't eat too many eggs!

Bless ya Candlegirl. I really am dreading it a bit now as only have two people coming. Hardly seems worth it but I will as it'll be good practise. Have a feeling I wont be doing vvery well from it though. Sorry.

But your right I have a couple of parties lined up, and one girl cant make it as she has been admitted back into hospital after an op and she has promised she'll hold a party for me to.

People I have shown the catalogue to though are all commenting the same thing - its expensive. I have said about the quality etc but its not persuading them.

That is the normal response from anyone who really hasn't seen the products - so don't worry - once you get them along to the parties and they see and smell for themselves then they really do understand about the quality of the products.

Use tomorrow's show as a training show and don't worry about the sales just try your best to be relaxed as possible :j:beer:
