    I've been Money Tipped!
Has anyone had a guest's card declined? I did, but I've sorted it out now. It's a pain in the a**** because it holds the whole order up.

Yes I have. I texted her something like "sorry to bother you but your card details were incorrect is it convenient to ring you". She rang me straight back and told me that she had had a problem with her card in shops too and she gave me details of a different card. There is probably a simple explanation. HTH

It's a pain isn't it!!!! I never say it's declined, I always just say there's a problem but I hate making the phone call. I've also had a cheque bounce twice!!

  • I've had loads of bounced cheques in my other business. I've always managed to get the money from them but I decided for PartyLite not to take cheques as it's too much inconvenience and waiting!

  • What are people's average party sales and average parties a month and how easy is it to bonus?? After 2 fantastic parties, I have now had 2 with half the sales which would have been fine if it was last month as i would still have managed to bonus wheras now I need to be sure of 2 or 3 absolutely fantastic parties to bonus this month.

I had a very successful party last night although no confirmed bookings from it (yet!). What I was wondering is that I was handed a gift certificate as part payment towards an order. When I put the order through on the website instead of deducting the amount from the total it just added it as an extra order bringing the total amount up and putting me out of pocket. Should I redeem the certificate through the gift certificate section before putting the order through? Not sure how this works.

ps. Still haven't been paid my earlier commission will have to ring head office as my leader was not much help at all when I asked her.
