I was a bit worried about the sales too, but I got £104 for my starter show last night. 3 orders out of just 4 guests and 2 outside orders.

Try giving a catalogue to people who can't make it to the party or don't want to hold one themselves.

Maybe also try and get a friend or two to show them around as well (use people shamelessly :rotfl:!

    That's great, well done!

I made my first sale today!!!:j I showed my friend the catalogue as she can't make my party and just because she came round for a coffee. I didn't expect her to buy anything. She hasn't given me the cash yet though so we'll see what happens.

  • well done baxtergirl! Such a relief to get your kit cleared! I keep forgetting to ask my leader about qualifying - do I need to qualify within a set period of time?

Also I never received my summer catalogue with my reflections this month did anyone else receive it? Mine only arrived yesterday!

I know I shouldn't take it so personally but I felt like my starter show was a complete disaster. In total I think I invited about 15 people. In the end I had 7 definites. However tonight, 3 cancelled within an hour of the party starting and 1 didn't even turn up (she lives opposite me and is a Body Shop consultant and I've done 2 parties for her as a favour).

Anyway 2 of my 3 guests bought stuff and I made a sale yesterday - not sure of the total but probably less than £100. One of my guests booked a party so I guess something good came out of it. I feel so embarrassed and unpopular though, what a knock to my self-confidence.:(

Give head office a call and they'll send you one!! I've had the flyers missing before and they've sent them after I called.

£100 is £100 and is a third of the way to clearing your kit. Will the girl who's a body shop consultant hold a party for you? It's worth a try. Don't be down on yourself. I did PartyLite for 7 months and then moved to a new area knowing no-one and I slogged away and am now busy - please persevere - you will get there - YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!

I might text the body shop girl but I can't help thinking that her not even turning up to my starter show, after she said she was definitely coming, is a good indication that she won't hold a party.

Maybe she doesn't want to buy anything but would hold a party especially if you've held a couple for her. I think it is cheeky of her not to turn up when you have helped her. Is there a possibility she feels threatened that people will buy from you and not want a body shop party as they can't afford both?

I agree £100 is £100 and at least you have another booking. My leader was saying to me when she started it took a few parties then she got this girl who booked a party and wanted the gold booking gift so she told her friends that they were having parties - anyway as a result of this one group and several years later this group of people regularly have parties for her!

I had my starter party 2 weeks ago and my booking from that isn't until mid april! I'm finding most people are saying no to the party and some are taking ages to give me a date so hoping to try and get them with the april offer.

It will get there it may take a few months but just try not to worry about it. i'm sure lots of people can share with you how difficult it is to build a client base. I'm giving out the catalogue to interested people who don't want parties so I can take individual orders on a monthly basis.
