I have a question. I'm really worried about not being able to get the £300 worth of orders. What happens if I don't reach the target in time? Is there a specific deadline?Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160

From what i understand then at your next party the outstanding balance will be deducted before you start earning commission.
So if at your starter party you took £200 of sales then that would go toward your kit and you would still have £100 owing then at your next party if you also took £200 of sales then £100 would be deducted for your kit and the remaining £100 would be what you earned commission on.
i think i read that after a set date if you have not cleared your kit then you have to pay the balance outstanding . It was in our starter information somewhere that we received with the kit0 -

Mmmm don't know - how many parties have you got as you'll probably be amazed how much you will sell. I decided to work on an average of £20 per person who attends but my starter show averaged at £34. My problem is getting bookings - think I'll be ok for April but struggling for March - almost wish i'd got people ready for parties before actually starting!0

I have 2 definites who will book and some friends who will hopefully do me a favour and hold parties. I'm just worried that people in my area will think all the products are too expensive and be put off by that.Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160

There are plenty of items for under £10 and under £20 - when i was a guest at parties I bought a holder for about £16 - it looks gorgeous with flowers in it - now £16 for something that has several usues ie a candle holder, a vase (& you could display food in it like breadsticks for dips) is really cheap!!
Try not to worry the items speak for themselves.
Is your leader local to you?0 -
My friend at work is my sponsor and she lives about an hour away from me. Her leader who has sent me my pack is near her so not really very local. I had a look at where the training sessions are and its about 60 miles away!!!Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160

Im a leader and live in Scotland but lots of my girls live down south - doesnt stop me training them - Im on the other end of the phone daily and by email.
Write down all your questions then go over them with your leader.
I have never ever heard of anyone having to pay money for their kit - if after a few shows it doesnt work out for you then all you need to do is hand back the kit and thats you clear - if you do 6 shows and then decide it doesnt work for you then you get to keep the kit.
Hope this helps clear up one of your questions, please don't worry just ask!:beer:I get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -
Thanks Candlegirl you've put my mind at rest. As I said I have a few friends who will definitely hold parties for me and I have other contacts like the school, church, slimming club etc where I can show off my stuff and try to get parties booked.Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160

I was a bit worried about the sales too, but I got £104 for my starter show last night. 3 orders out of just 4 guests and 2 outside orders.
Try giving a catalogue to people who can't make it to the party or don't want to hold one themselves.
Maybe also try and get a friend or two to show them around as well (use people shamelessly :rotfl:!0
