Grace, I've pm'd you. As I said once people see how much product they can get for free the bookings will come rolling in.

Thanks Donna, i'm gonna sit down later and seriously think about it. Maybe the fact that avon is a bit of a disaster for me is possibly stopping me from taking the plunge, so to speak. Is there any way to find out if there is alot of other consultants in your area? Obviously the less amount there is the more chance I would have of getting parties.

    Hiya - Welcome:beer:
Where I live (yes quite near Renfrew 10miles away)there are more than 10 consultants living nearby and this has not stopped me from getting parties as there are different crowds of people.

Good thing about PartyLite is it costs nothing to try it - why not do a list of everyone you know and put 2 boxes beside it one box for everyone who might hold a party and the other for them coming to your home show and see how many you have - it really is amazing just how many people you know!

    Where abouts are you?

Donna - I also use folders for my party pack looks much more professional and more likely to get everything back when like that - see you been to training (lol)

Unfortunately I can't attend my meetings as they are about 4 hours away but my DL/GL (can never remember what she is) is very good at calling and emailing!!

Yes ( well hope I added everything up okay), not got a parcel yet though.
  • Hi Candlegirl and Donna

What do you put in your party packs and hostess packs? I use the hostess envelope and just put all the usual stuff in it (invitations, guest lists, 2 catalogues, order forms, WIIFM, candle care leaflet) but your presentation folders sound really nice. Do you get your folders back??

I've struggled to get people to book parties so having another one of my own and am going to show all the freebies they could get - thought I'd do a draw for anyone wanting a hostess special and let them buy one as I've got them already, thought about giving the commission to someone but want them to book a party to get it for themself whereas if i let them have it at the party they may not then book a party as they've had their free spends! Also as i've just started I'd like to use the hostess commission to buy wax for party gifts.

Also have a half filled candle pool that i was going to do - would you tell them about this and do it at beginning or would you keep it for the end (& not mention it?)

    Thanks
