What do you put in your party packs and hostess packs? I use the hostess envelope and just put all the usual stuff in it (invitations, guest lists, 2 catalogues, order forms, WIIFM, candle care leaflet) but your presentation folders sound really nice. Do you get your folders back??
I've struggled to get people to book parties so having another one of my own and am going to show all the freebies they could get - thought I'd do a draw for anyone wanting a hostess special and let them buy one as I've got them already, thought about giving the commission to someone but want them to book a party to get it for themself whereas if i let them have it at the party they may not then book a party as they've had their free spends! Also as i've just started I'd like to use the hostess commission to buy wax for party gifts.
Also have a half filled candle pool that i was going to do - would you tell them about this and do it at beginning or would you keep it for the end (& not mention it?)
Thanks
5 steps to £400 show,
current special offers
order forms, invitations, candle care tip card, hostess are vips, guest list, wish list - 2 or 3 catalogues
any current promotions outwith the special offers
all the booking gifts
candle pool
(I think thats it )
I personally think hostess's are the most important people and by coaching them and building up a rapport with them then you will achieve fab sales.
I always send them a postcard when they book a party confirming the date in my diary and tell them they will receive their party pack 2 weeks before hand - after I have posted this I then phone them in a couple of days to confirm they have received it and go over everything in the pack - making sure they know what they can achieve FREE - also finding out from them what they like and what booking gift they would like.
I then phone then another couple of times before the party.
On the night I ask her for the party pack and hope she has already filled in her wish list, and that way you get your pack back.

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a candle pool and what are the 5 steps to £400 show? I'm probably going to regret asking as the answer is probably very obvious!!!0 -

5 steps to a £400 is a letter we send to hostess- here is the words on it:-
STEP 1: INVITE 20-25 PEOPLE
You’ll never find a perfect night for all your guests.
By inviting twice as many, you’re sure to have plenty.
STEP 2: SHOW THE BROCHURES
For those Guests who are not able to attend, be sure to give them the opportunity to place an order. All outside orders will be applied to your show.
STEP 3: REMIND EVERYONE
Call each person the day before the show. Let them know it’s important
to you that they attend. Also, encourage them to bring a friend!
STEP 4: FIND THREE BOOKINGS
(Look at booking gifts on page 4-5 main catalogue)
3 Bookings will get a Silver Booking Gift – Choose from 3 Stunning Choices or go further and get 4 Bookings – Gold Booking Gift and take your pick from 2 gorgeous items
STEP 5: KEEP IT SIMPLE
I want this to be fun, easy and profitable for you!
Keep your refreshments simple.
Relax and enjoy the guests and your show
The candle pool - there are various different versions of it but pm me if you want one emailed.
Its basically sheet of paper with either 1-50 numbers or 1-50 with fragrances on it - It's used mainly at fundraisers but I send all my hosts it.
they sell each square for £2 if it sells completely then someone will win £100 to spend in the catalogue or if they are not at the party then they will get a voucher - you dont need to sell all the squares so if 10 only sold then £20 and so on.
Its also brill for fundraisers as you give them half the card for their charity and the other half to the winner.
It counts towards sales for you to earn from and sales for the hostess to get hostess credit so win win situation for everyone.:jI get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -
I might try the candlepool at my rosemary conley class but with half the proceeds to charity as she won't let me do it otherwise!Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160

Candle pool is a fantastic way of win win for everyone.
someone wins something, you get sales, the hostess gets commission on it and/or the charity gets money from it as well - so all good.
I have done fundraisers for brownies and 30 brownies each took 1 home - some got them completed and some only partially completed but I had fab sales and the brownies got well earned funds.
I contact local charities, groups etc introducing myself and telling them what I can do for them - I have had some interest from this.I get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone, I think all consultants should use the candle pool, it helps boost sales. Loving the 36% for April though, that should get some parties booked. Feel free to share ideas on facebook on my group PartyLite UK CONSULTANTS.0

Thanks candlegirl for the pack info! Have arranged another party of my own as i have no takers for holding their own show for another month so this will be my first show that I do myself. Slightly anxious but not worried if I don't get many people as it's more like a practice. I have £80 of outside orders & a £50 candle pool so not bad so far! Just a few sales and hopefully some bookings - then i'll be kicking myself i didn't have the party in April!!0

My first party tomorrow. I think I am going to do the left/right game but was thinking about maybe turning into a sort of pass the parcel game, ie wrapping a couple of tealights as the main prize but then each layer in between has a chocolate and as its passed left/right, the person who gets it unwraps a layer. Do you think this would work? I am just wondering whether everyone would get a chocolate or if some people would get 2 or 3 and others get none.Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160
