Heather, you could try having a stand at pamper evenings, school fetes and events like that. That should get you some leads. I've never done it myself (only just joined!) but the other members on this thread will tell you more I'm sure.

My first show as a consultant was tonight...
It was so much fun!! And I did well I think: sold £197 and got £49 of hostess credit for my friend!! Also got a definite booking, a possible one and some leads! Woop woop!

There are quite a few earlier posts about doing stalls and events Heather , have a read and this should help you . This business is great and can be very rewarding if you work hard at it . After joining over two years ago it has become a full time business for us and is now a main family income , it hasn't been easy but can be done with hard work and dedication . The important thing is not to give up. Develop lots of ways of getting leads for bookings , the more parties booked in your diary the bigger your customer base will be and many people will begin to re-order or book another show later in the year . Good luck with it and feel free to contact me if you need any advise/help

It's a direct selling company which sells candles, home accessories and a few spa products.

It's gone all quiet in here this week, with all the lucky ones away to "Hong Kong".

It's getting near conference and the build up is soo exciting.

I am working on being on stage this year!:j

I know, they're having fun over there whilst we slave away!! Good luck on getting on stage, Candlegirl!

I've done 3 parties on my own now, and it's so much fun! I'm wondering when the novelty will wear off... I'm really enjoying it at the moment, but I'm thinking it has to get less exciting at some point, right?

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my first order (from my starter show), I can't wait, especially since I'm running out of tealights!

Hey Candlechick, I haven't done any myself, but there are loads of tips in the thread. It took me a few days to read it all, but it was worth it!

    Hi
I have some partylite candle holders from years ago, they are very well made and the candles are lovely smelling, i suppose in this economic climate perhaps people see candles as a luxury rather than a necessity but if you target the right audience i would imagine it would do well. Love the idea of wedding fairs cos candles are romantic and so are weddings. How about searching for other agents of other Companies locally to do a joint pamper evening, it would combine well with some of the other companies that do pamper evenings/party plan.
We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!
