  • I only work three days and due to credit crunch do try and bring food from home but rarely stick to this and spend daily about £5.00 once you have your sandwich and then your dessert and then a drink to wash it all down:confused::D
  • At uni its quite cheap for a jacket potato and coffee for 2.50. At home basics/value beans on toast is a favourite about 50p.

  • I would say £1 average, as I eat at home and it is usually rolls or home made bread, cheese, tomatoes etc., followed by biscuits and coffee, and sometimes fruit.
  • I make soup for me and my family 2x per week - costs c.50p per portion and full of goodies! Bring on the lunchbox!

    About 80p I think.

I did used to eat just porridge for lunch for about 10p a day (with honey) but there's only so long you can do that for until you get sick of it.
  • Sounds good! probably spend on average £2.50 a day by making my own food and buying fruit etc, but that is by being very careful - if i bought the prepared lunches that look good i'd spend more like £4.00 a day.

    cheers

  • About £2 - £2.50
  • I hope I win one. I spend £3.25:eek:
  • I try to take a packed-lunch but sometimes give in to Greggs or Subway so on average it probably works out at about £1.50 a day.

Would love a kit to encourage me to stay away from the shops!
