Although I take a lunch I tend to spend just to get out of the office. I work in a barn on a farm but yes it is an office, its just unfortunately theres nowhere to go for lunch so we drive to the supermarket/garden centre.
You end up buying just for something to do so I would say £2-£5 on food but often you get sucked into deals at these large stores and buy £20 worth of clothes/dvds/cds etc.0 -

Next to nothing if I’m in the office - I have a good breakfast. If I’m doing outdoor, physical work, I take a big tub of plain, sweetened yoghurt - and a spoon - with me (filled with mixed seeds, home-stewed fruit and bran flakes)....delicious and very satisfying to eat as & when I’m peckish. Dried fruit are a great, healthy snack too. As for drinks: coffee / tea / water are free at work; outdoors I have a bottle of squash drink and a flask of boiling water, with a tub of coffee granules. I find pre-made coffee tastes horrible after a few hours and has to be thrown out if not consumed (you can always find a use for unconsumed water - even if only to water your plants).
By the way, my mum had some Tupperware containers years ago, when I was a kid and they were brilliant. Where can you get hold of them these days, as you don’t see them around any more? Or does anyone know of other food containers, which come anywhere near to the old Tupperware for keeping food fresh?
