I never ever buy lunch! I spend 75p a day tops on making my own.

I make 4 sandwiches each evening - one for each of us. I use the £3 mega pack of ham from Asda, 50p lettuce from Tesco, and a dab of salad crem. Rolls 12 for £1 at ASDA. So I reckon I spend about 50p per head a day. Any extras to that are the yellow stickered 10p items bought at the end of the day from the supermarket. Plus squash in a re-useable bottle.

I am out every day for lunch as I work from my car. I always have a packed lunch but with a yoghurt, apple, a couple of sandwiches and tap water in bottles I reckon lunch costs less than £1 a day - but my wife making it for me every day.......priceless.
Plus covering Norfolk I must get some of the best views while eating my lunch!

I spend about £1 as I make my own
  • I spend £1-2 if eating in and up to £7 if eating out.
  • I spend much less than a pound on an average, split between:
a sachet of instant soup- about 15p,
    a fruit (apple/banana/pear)- 10-15p
    a few crackers/one breakfast bar-10-25p
one of a multipot of yogurt (optional)- 25p.
At times (once in a fortnight) I may visit the staff resturant and spend about £2 on a proper lunch.

My hubby spends £3-4 so this would be great for a packed lunch.
