  • It really depends on how organised I've been and if I've been out the previous night.

If I get up in plenty of time I take lunch with me - approx £1.50

If I don't then anything upto a fiver.

Approx twice a month I go out for lunch and can spend approx a tenner.

about 50p as I make it home made!

But we have a not for profit cafe at work where today I bought a cup of tea, penguin and cheese sandwich for 60p which is relatively good when you forget your lunch!! :o

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • My lunch is cheap, something like beans on toast if at home, it's the children's packed lunches that mount up (and eldest one's school meals at senior school - now packed lunch four days a week and 'treat' dinner money on thursdays!). Always on the lookout for useful food packaging options so fingers crossed!
  • I take sandwiches with me or pasta salad, so probably no more than a pound a day.

always take a packed lunch......£1 ish!
  • I usually have home-made soup and a sandwich or cheese and biscuits with a piece of fruit so I guess under a pound since I grow my own veg for soup.

If it's lunch in the pub or cafe then I try to keep it under a fiver, but that's only once in a while.

I used to make up sandwiches (egg, cheese, peanut butter etc), but now take everything pre-assembled..i.e. bread roll, lump of cheese, apple, bag of nuts.
Comes to around 75p per day..sometimes a bit less.
  • It depends on which sandwiches are yellow stickered, today it was 75p :)
  • Hi
My lunch is usually free as I have a pack up from home
