And in any case, even if you have been charged then surely the first thing you should do is call your bank and ask that they refund the fees under the circumstances. I'm sure they're fully aware of the current delays in payments reaching accounts.
I think being deprived of your money (whatever the KE bank's circumstances) is grounds for compensation. Having to pay overdraft interest rates is grounds for compensation. ING have now posted a message that interest will be paid for the period money was not available.
I don't see why the linked account bank should pay for KE/ING's failings.0 -
Have just checked my KE balance, and of course, it's still unchanged, which means I definitely won't be receiving it today (good job none of you put any money on it being received today!). Closure requested 7th Oct. Awaiting return call today from ING Customer Service Manager in which he expects to be able to enlighten me. However, as he's promised I'd receive my money twice before, I don't think he knows when I'll get it. Don't know what's so special about my money that makes them want to keep it! He did say yesterday that anyone wishing to close their accounts between now and until they've transferred KE accounts onto the ING system should just request a withdrawal and then close the account at a later date when things have settled down.0

Probably far to early but just hoped it would be all over. Overnight Bacs are usually in by now.
Not convinced at all the situation has changed.
35K 10th left 15th to First D
Thanks for all support how many of us will still be here tonight???0 -
I like the rest of you have been waiting for a large sum of money since the 8th October.. so, I appreciate the frustration anger everyone is feeling, however to be fair, ING took over on the UK treasuries request, a company that had been put into liquidation. This was always going to take time to sort out..
Going by the latest update i feel sure all money will be paid out by today and over the weekend. As for the loss of interest and chaps payment refunds. I feel sure this will be paid into you KE accounts (if you did not close them) at a later date. or sent by cheque
This is a difficult time but remenber all our funds that were in KE are Underwritten by FCSA.Chaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Funds paid to my linked account 4th November0 -
GOOD LUCK! please let the cash start rolling in soon0

Your patience and good humour have been shining through this thread for a long time, Ippylady, but you must really be getting to the end of your tether by now - as no doubt is everybody who is still waiting.
My thoughts will be with you all today. Try to stay positive - I'm confident it will soon be all over.0 -
