I bet most of them have lived through unemployment and hardship. If I could wave a magic wand, everyone on this planet would have a roof over their head, food in their stomach and a prosperous future.

I realise some of you might think it should be obvious to me that you haven’t got your money! – but I’m doing it this way in an attempt to ‘weed out’ people who have got their money and are no longer following this thread.

78 people have posted on October 22nd to say they have received money .

October 23rd

Today, so far 18 people have posted to say they have received money (as far as I can tell nearly all this money was into bank accounts yesterday or before).

I will post a further update to the lists tonight tomorrow (24th ) morning around 9am.

Cough... Good for you, I am sure the rate is good. I dont think these problems were INGs fault. However, there is asolutely no way I am EVER going to put any substantial amount of money in anyones Bank again. To me this has been a big lesson, when things go wrong in a bank, they make it very difficult for you to access your own funds and you have to wait until they are ready. I will NEVER let myself get into such a vulnerable position again.

All of mine will go into more property. It might go down or with a bit of luck it might go up, but whatever, you always have something to sell or rent. You are highly unlikely to lose it all and most importantly you retain control.

Hi, I'd like to be added to the List as one of THOSE who has yet to receive payment from ING/Kaupthing...I transferred money out of my KE Account on the 8th October, however have still not seen nor heard anything from ING or Kaupthing......

I take it - but not for another 12 months - Property is NOT a good investment now, In 12 months it will be !!
