Hi guys- first post but have been following developments on the 'backlog' and am pleased for those finally getting their dough...
And I really feel for anyone still waiting, it's starting to go quiet so hopefully tomorrow will see a deluge of payments clearing up the outstanding from the backlog.
Yeah...so? I hear you say: Well KE/ING are giving people & the media the impression that ALL outstnding payments will be made tomorrow & ONLY a few are left. But in truth it's only the initial backlog that will get resolved (hopefully) tomorrow. What about transfers initiated since ING got the job?
A couple of people have touched on the subject of 'breaking' fixed term bonds. This would have been immediate under the KE auspices (incurring penalty) but nigh on 2 weeks after my request KE still can't say when they'll return funds to the KE saving a/c for me then to roll the chaps/bacs gamble. Is this yet another 'KE get your act together' thread in the making? Who else is waiting for FTB refunds since the transfer of undertakings? I've been patient so far acknowledging the backlog and complications they must have inherited but I'm but getting less patient so..:unhappy:

AND HOPEFULLY CARETAKER AT THE END OF THE DAY OVERFLOWING

Unfortunately, the only answer is to wait until this time tomorrow and see where we are. We’ve been doing this for the last 2 weeks and it’s horrible but the only option.
  • Reading the posts i would like to point out, although i understand your frustrations and concerns with the delay i would like you to think about the people who stand to loose their jobs in the UK, which in this current climate is a bit more worrying as your money has been guarenteed, the only reason this has happened is because of Gordon Brown closing them down.
  • Not quite sure how the tally stands but there are obviously a lot of people who are waiting to get their cash. Good luck for tomorrow guys, guess it will be from 2:30 afterwards.

    Best of British!
  • Good luck for tomorrow to everyone still waiting,
lets hope ING are so fed up with their bad Customer Service
they actually make the effort and you all get paid out tomorrow.

I'll keep everything crossed for you
  • Like many others I got worried by Kaupthing at the start of Oct
Phoned up on Sun 5th Oct to break my FTD
Worried about events .. however funds were finally transferred to Savings a/c on the 20th Oct
As a test I tried sending a small amount from my Savings account to my linked account on the 21st Oct by BACS - it arrived today (23rd Oct)
Stop worrying guys ... they seem to be getting their act together
I am seriously considering putting cash back into a FTD (rate is extremely good!)

Simplymyeye, we have every sympathy for people who get made redundant but that it not the point of this thread, people are worried sick about not getting their own savings, redundancy and their consequences is on another of Martins threads.
