Kaupthing Edge-fixed term deposit, ne1 had theirs broken?

Mine were broken today after I requested via secure msg on 7th Oct.
I received interest at the break rates (6.16% & 5.86% in my case).0 -
I wouldn't trust ING with any money at all. I had applied for a Savings Account with them well before the Icelandic Bank problems and they accepted my money at an interest rate of 6.5% AER. Granted we have had a Bank of England base rate cut recently and quite quickly ING wrote to say that they were dropping the rate to 4.25%AER as of 15th October..notification received after this date!! But I see on their Web Site they are still trying to Lure perople into savings at 6%AER and Im sure as soon as they have these people they will drop the rate for them too. Im out of there and have written a 'no punches' letter to them telling them why...!!!Might take a while for the penny to drop though. ING, wouldn't touch them with a Barge Pole!!0

Has anyone actually had the money sent to their nominated account yet? and was it by chaps or bacs? Mine is still sitting in the KE savings account0

Requested, by telephone, closure of my fixed term deposit on 6th October. Still awaiting transfer of money into my KE easy access account. Several calls to KE contact number over past couple of weeks all elicit same response - a logjam on FTD closures and no idea when they will be effected. Very few successes in this regard registered in the forum pages - anyone else willing to share their joy? How much longer can this delay be tolerated?0

Asked for mine to be closed on Oct 7th. Have been quite chilled and patient up to now, but temper is starting to fray a bit, so I've just called KE. The chappy on the end reckons he just tried to get their Head Office, but no-one there is answering the phone, so he has emailed them. He has also passed the details on to his manager, and he or his manager will get back to me in the next 24-48 hours.
Even with a lot of FTD closures, a delay of a month is just stupid, when they told me it would be in my account in 2-3 days.0 -

In the event KE get back to you as promised and there is news of their proposals then I would be most grateful if you could share it with us - many thanks in anticipation0 -
Yes, I have screen shots of everything! I'll certainly pass on anything that they feed back. Just thought I'd post as my experience was different to the rest of you - maybe I got a trainee or something LOL. (Manager slaps him round the head and says "I TOLD you there was a backlog!")0

OK, slightly late update.
No phone call from anyone (no surprises there then) so phoned again today. My account is now apparently flagged with a complaint, which should get it seen to urgently. And a pig has just been seeing over Manchester.
Have been very measured and polite so far, but am getting to the "give me my b****y money back you !!!!!!!" stage now.0 -
Oh and I gently suggested to the person on the phone that when they finally break it, I get interest at the higher rate up to when they do it, NOT up to October 7th as that would tick me off even more. So that has been duly noted in my complaint too. Apparently. (Is that that pig again?)0
