In my twenties?? - God, those were the days Toni!!

Nope I'll be 37 in January & OH is pushing for a decision on having a second child - I have to say I'm cacking it cos I know if we are going to do it I have to be the one who decides.

After the last time it scares me to death thinking about having another, but I always wanted a sibling for Thomas.

Good luck RCB I will be 36 in June and would love a sibling for DD.

Going for IVF egg collection on Monday - so fingers crossed but the thought of another baby terrfies me at the same time!!

Stressed - I don't know much about your situation so don't know what to say just take care people on hear have great advice

  • Big thanks to RCB for the Jack Skellington inspiration. Have just done pumpkins with DD13 and DSS5 and copied yours - It's a goddamn work of art. Shame I can't prove it as don't know how to get my photos off my camera and on to here, so have to wait til OH is not too busy between work and squash. Maybe in time for next halloween!

Both my pregnancies and especially the births were VERY different. Don't let a bad experience put you off anything in life. Your body knows what it is doing, just listen to it, and remember there never really is a 'right time' so go with the moment and see where it leads. A life lived without risk is a life not lived at all.

    REVENGE ON THE TELESALES PESTS
    Three Little Words That Work!!
    (1) The three little words: 'Hold On, Please...' Saying this,
while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call somuch more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear BT's 'beep-beep-beep'tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset ....You have efficiently completed your task. These three little words could help eliminate telephonesoliciting.

    (2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one onthe other end?

This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is then used to determine the best time of day for a'real' salesperson to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering: If you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the machine that
dialled thecall and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame notto have your name in their system any longer!!

    (3) When you get those 'pre-approved' letters in the mail foreverything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope. Most of these come with postage-prepaid return envelopes, right?
It costs them more than the regular postage 'IF' and when they are returned. It costs them nothing if you throw them away! In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these coollittle, postage-prepaid return envelopes. Send an advert for your local chimney sweeper to American Express ... They might need one!Send a pizza coupon to HSBC ... In case their canteen packs up. You get the idea. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them back their blank application form ... After all, it is their form!If you want to remain anonymous, just make sure your name isn't on anything you return. You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them, and it is their envelope after all ... You are just returning it!! The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lotof their own junk back in the post, but folks ... We need to OVERWHELM them, in order to stop them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it ... Twice!Let's help keep Royal Mail busy.Sincethe Royal Mail are saying that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, let's help them so they will not need to increase postage costs again. You get the idea! If enough people follow these tips, it will work ---- maybeyou'll get very little junk mail anymore. THIS JUST MIGHT BE ONE E-MAIL THAT YOU WILL WANT TO FORWARD TO YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!!!
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Thanks for these Redbull (quoting again for anyone whole missed earlier :D), I just used number 2 on the ruddy company who blasts a ships horn down the phone at you before proceeding to tell you you've 'won' a holiday. Let's hope it works because I get at least 1 call a week from them

  • Cheers for the advice folks!

It's just a bit scary cos Tom was 3 months early & was critically ill for 3 months, whilst I almost died.

I was bleeding for a week & had many, many blood transfusions & in the end they just said that if they didn't get him out I would die.

As I went down to the operating theatre they warned Chris that it was very possible that both his wife & child could die.

Needless to say it was a very horrible time - and when I got well after my op I had to sit by Tom's incubator for 3 months willing him to pull through, whilst fighting flashbacks & post natal depression.

I don't think it would be fair to put my family through that again, but the consultant has told me there is only an increased risk of 7% of that happening again so I could have a healthy pregnancy next time.

PS Stressed - make sure OH uploads your pumpkin pics - we all wanna see!!
The Rock Chick, she say 'courtesy costs nowt' - spread the word! :D
