Part of the Furniture 500 Posts Combo Breaker
I cant see where it says that above.

Return them to a shop. I saw someone in Bluewater yesterday arguing over the same thing. He got his refund...
  • It seems to me, although games T&C's offer to take them back in the name of good customer service they don't HAVE to take them back (legally).

As the OP said, you could try taking them back to a few different game stores until you find a nice member of staff willing to take them back.

    • International customers please be aware that we will be unable to refund any postage and packing costs incurred in returning a product to us under our 10 Day Returns policy.
    • Please note items bought in 'bundle deals', such as 2 for 30.00 GBP or hardware and software packs, if returned separately, will result in the full price being charged for other items in the special offer - and the refund adjusted accordingly.
    • Our 10 Day Returns policy is not available for DVDs and may be restricted against titles that are exclusively for online play. For further details please contact Customer Services on 0870 750 2743 (National Rate for UK callers).
Any software (with the exception of those items noted below) may be returned for refund or exchange within 10 days of the despatch date.

    • You can return goods to your nearest GAME Store (check our Store Locator to find your nearest GAME Store). Please note: You must return any item using the original invoice supplied with your product and have your credit or debit card used for the original purchase with you for the store to process the refund.

Anyone help me? GAME webteam are refusing to accept just the games back for a refund telling i have to return the console too!!!

    What can i do??

    Hi,

I was a manager in Game for 2years before giving it up after my son was born in July and my advise to you is to print off a copy of the terms and conditions highlighting the 'Please note items bought in 'bundle deals', such as 2 for 30.00 GBP or hardware and software packs, if returned separately, will result in the full price being charged for other items in the special offer - and the refund adjusted accordingly' paragraph and go into a Game store.

Ask to return the games saying they are not suitable for the person you bought the 360 pack for and await the response of the sales assistant. If they query it then show these terms which clearly state that upon returning the games you will be charged the full price for the system i.e £209.99 for a core or £279.99 for a premium. If you are not returning all the games and or accessories then any you keep will be charged at full retail price. Speak to a manager if necessary but they will do it for you - all be it huffing and puffing!

You can not return consoles to Game - they are exempt from the 10 Day rturns policy.

Um, not much point in that...either you'll use it over Christmas in which case you can't take it back or you'll keep it boxed, in which case what was the point in getting it?

As for returning the games alone, wouldn't they be part of a single transaction on the receipt though?

So without the individual prices listed the store could happily argue that the pack was a single item.

As you accepted the item as it was described and delivered (assuming you don't send the whole thing back) you have no right to refuse parts of it at a later date.

So I doubt the likes of comet, etc. will allow either returns or swaps for unwanted games that came in a "pack".

    **Edit**

PammyB posted while I was writing this so I didn't see her information. However, I still believe that most people will have a hard time with Comet.

Or Ebay them - I did this with Perfect Dark Zero and King Kong!

I got a Buy It Now of £39.99 for each of them which I was happy with.

The games will show up seperately on a receipt at a discounted price.
