Xbox 360 Stock availability updates

I ordered core system with hard drive and 2 games from comet on Tuesday6th dec, just had a email confirming delivery for this coming tuesday. Anyone wanting one could try Argos on a daily basis, I was told by argos the best time to ring is just after midday, thats when stock is updated.

I ordered the core system (2) on Thursday, was told delivery Monday but they turned up today !! - That was from Argos. Happy Nephew and friend boy Christmas Day.

Mine just arrived via business post (bought from Argos on Thursday Night), the driver said he delivers up til 6.00pm.

Argos have said that deliveries will be up until 8PM tonight so ignore the 8am - 2PM quoted delivery times for a Saturday on your emails.

First post after a years lurking!

I ordered a core system from argos on thurs around 4pm. Got conf no. and delivery for Monday. Rung argos today and they can't find order in their system nor can they trace it by postcode my query has been passed to the escalation team who are not in till Monday!!

I have a bad feeling about this...

I had the same thing. Escalation team said all they could do was give me a refund.

Looks like i've booked the day off for nothing then!

Is it not possible for them to hold your order until they get more in stock?

When I called this morning to chase up mine, the telephone number they gave me at time of ordering said the office was closed (before 9am)

Someone posted the number 0870 6008782 which I called and they were unable to locate my order. Women said it could be her computer as she was having problems and tried to transfer me to someone else. The line just rang dead.

As now just after 9am I called the 0870 6002020 number, who put me through to someone and they immediatly found my order and confirmed Monday delivery.

I'm starting to wonder whether there are 2 seperate departments accessing different order systems
