Argh I was thinking of getting that but I need to update my gaming pc, and every few years you reach the point when you need different ram, mobo, case, vidoe card etc. I have two pcs that are in need of upgrade but somethimng always comes along and money is needed. I played COD 1 and data disc but found data disc too hard.0

A 300.00 PC would laughable against the xbox 360....early days with the xbox360...the xbox360 is actually incredibly cheap considering its spec.....to get the same level of spec with a PC you need to spend over £1500 (mrp), then you'd get all the annoying probs associated with PC's...incompatibility...flakey drivers, etc
in fact to get a comparable graphics card for your PC would cost the same or more as the xbox360.....thats just for the graphics card, nothing else!
ive just bought a mid range card for my pc (a 6800, yep still on agp!)....a decent card you are talking a ridiculous £200-300Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -
Argh yes what I meant was £300 is meant for entertainment pc not including latest games. Playing video, music etc. the Celeron 2.4 (old type) just doesnt cut it. The new celerons are a lot better but would still cost cost me £300 with case, ram etc and as you said it still would come close to a xbox. Even the pc I have planend for gaming which would cost me £400-£500 wouldnt cut it but then I can use it for other things.0

Got this email from argos at 02.15 :
Thank you for your recent enquiry on argos.co.uk
You recently enquired about a Xbox 360 Core System., Cat No. 567/9216, on the Argos web site, which was out of stock.
We have just received further stock of this item.
Clicked the link at 03.00 and it was outa stock ! :mad:0 -
I got one as well...I think they're just automated...it's done this before and I was a nano second behind and still no stock?0

Read Personal Computer World this month when in the shope (I subscribe). Microsoft are actually selling each x-box at a loss of £50 ish, so unlikely you will build a similar PC for the same price...Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0

i got the x800 GT for £95, runs brilliantly, my whole system cost me about £550/600 and is comparable to xbox360 game graphics wise. A pc isnt just for gaming though0
