Your'e right that it works out near enough full price, but it's a con really (in my eye's anyway) . Most people would prefer just to buy the console & get the games they want, but I guess since supply is low & demand is high they can use this to drive up the value of the sale!

In Japan the XBOX 360 is £188 and they are having problems selling them.


Just shows what mugs some people in UK are to pay such high prices.

:xmassign: Our local MVC store (part of Woolies) had A4 handwritten notices taped to entrance doors saying XBOX 360 in stock, £269, i think. should be the full one as the Core is on their site for £209.

Too true Talkshop. Therese no way I pay rip off prices. I take advantage of the xbox360 when prices come down and rip off shops like Game sell things at a more realistic price and instead of bundling every title under the sun with it.

Incidentally I watched Gadget show Xmas special and they played three games only one game project gotham or so they claim was any good on it. The rest looked more like pc clones.

I want one mainly for kids and play hd stuff on hdtv. As I got a pc connected to lcdtv abet its very slow and hardly plays out, I was hoping it could replace it for our entertainment needs. I would cost me £300 for a cheap pc anyhow.

Call of Duty 2 is very good, albeit the demo was very easy....completed it first go!
