If its in a pound shop then "reckless abandon" should be .........

    "a pound!"

Unless the booming economy, thriving house sales etc have raised the price!!!;)

I am really looking forward to selling our house for more than the advertised price and then buying a better one for a lot less than advertised- my house is worth so much just - just because it is mine lol!!!!!;)

Britain's children are smarter than ever, our sheer brainpower will see us right and they can all get the jobs they'll love.

The 2,000,000 who've fled England are champing at the bit to return and resume their well-paid careers in the productive economy.

All that nonsense about no pensions is just accountants messing with figures, there's squillions tucked away for our old-age.

The shops are full of high-quality items which will last for years; if there is a problem, knowledgeable people on the helpdesk who can speak English perfectly will help.

Those new build-flats are so well constructed, solid as a rock!

The Victorians would be proud of the engineering of our many, many miles of new roads and railways. No wonder our graduates can look forward to respected career in engineering & IT.

Everyone in local government is working like a trooper, nothing is too much trouble to help citizens.

The MPs in Westminster are brilliant, selfless work-a-holics who are putting the English working man first, last and always in their policy making decision.

Being the eternal optimist I feel there is alot to feel happy about. :D

If I feel concerned about anything, it's that having witnessed "Peak Oil - The Dress Rehearsal" , what's going to happen when growth takes off again:confused: If the West has any sense we really ought to get our energy policies sorted out.:o

People keep moaning about those who are "talking the economy down".

So to prove how right they are, I've started this thread. It's going to revive the UK economy just by the power of positive thought.

    I'll start:

"The economy is in great shape, better shape than it's ever been in before. It's going to be kickstarted. Look out for the green shoots."

    Blisk's post are better
  • The Contractor we work for has not just asked us to reduce our contracts by thousands of pounds :j Yeah it was just a bad dream! I am also seeing all the houses around my area that have been sold at 30% over the asking price. I am just off to buy my Ranger Rover Sport and Rolex with my increase in credit limits and all that spare cash!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Armed forces are short of many thousands of men and woman. This is an option rather than being unemployed.

In my particular field of employment, the industry is short manned and we are in desperate need of more engineers, highly paid aswell, starting salaries £45k+

There are over 1.5 million jobs currently available on numerous job ad sites.

The high streets and its shops are still filled to the brink of crush every saturday afternoon and the pubs and clubs on friday/saturday nights are still heaving.

So the talk of all this doom and gloom is complete nonsense. We are talking ourselves into it.

Greedy builders and estate agents are out of business at the moment...You know what...So bloody what, no sympathy with them at all. They should have saved their pennies in the good times for this rainy day.

Price of fuel has plummeted, price of food is dropping and bank interest rates have been slashed.

This is a serious post by the way ;)
