Hi,
thanks;-) choosing colour for this dress was particularly difficult, because on the landy web page the dress is half satin and half chiffon, so we have been trying to mach a colour from the chiffon and satin chart. In the end I ordered the dresses in number 77 from chiffon chart and number 18 from the Satin chart.
The dresses as you can see from my pictures are all chiffon in the end, which I'm pretty happy about, as they look much nicer this way.0 -

Hi there everyone,
I have big disaster on my hands, I placed my order with Landy Bridal on 24 February for wedding dress, and they have mixed up the order numbers and as a consequence the dress has not even been started let alone nearly finished. My wedding is on Friday 24th April so less than 4 weeks away.
I have been speaking to Ivan this morning and he assures me that they will make the dress now and have it to me by TNT delivered by 15th April. Can I trust them to keep to their word, if the dress does not arrive I only have the weekend to source another one.
I have rang a few bridal shops today and some of them do have larger sizes so should I hold on and hope for the best. What have your experiences been with their deadline.
I am having a major panic, I was so looking forward to it arriving next week, as I have been emailing him back and forth etc so assumed everything was in hand. Just as well I called them this morning or I wouldn't have known.
Any advice much appreciated from a distressed Bride-2-Be.

any advice or horror storys will be great
thanks
Hi Kayleigh
My dress is absolutely amazing my mum has banned me from posting pics on the internet until after my big day on the 21st August, the dress is much better quality than in England it is heavier and fully lined and boned in all the right places it fits perfect i am over the moon with it i have just ordered 4 bridesmaid dresses and one flower girl from her seriously take the opinion i did and think if it comes and it is wrong then you have only lost a couple of hundred pounds however if you dont take the risk you could end up spending well over 1k in england on your dress alone....... Good luck and let me know how you get on, i even had the tape measure on mine to make sure all sewing and beading was symmetrical and it is honestly just perfect i saved over £1200 on my dress and my bridesmaid dresses each to buy here were £185 landy is doing them with a sewn in underskirt for £80 each so my bill would have been £905 here and all ordered from Landy for £350 so my honeymoon to mexico is paid for in savings made on dresses.0 -
oh no sexy legs!
I'm not sure whats best to do... Can you ask him to get ot delivered by a few days before so youve got that extra buffer? I mean thats still gives them 10 days to make it...0 -

I have emailed a question yesterday late at night and got reply this morning, although a coupeof weeks ago they took several days to reply.
Vendulina, another PM coming! I LOVE that bridesmaid dress you chose, gosh, i would not mind having such a dress for some special occasion...LOL I did not know they had chiffon charts, where did you find them?Hi there everyone,

I would say make a backup plan! Find out what you can get in the area! Or maybe even consider renting a dress, in case yours does not arive on time? Or borrowing one from friends/relatives. It is not to say you gonna need it, but by all means you need to have a backup plan for your own sanity!!
Also dont panic, and think positive. I would say you MUST email/call them regularily about the progress, so that they dont think it is not urgent! Did you order from the site or via ebay? If they give you a deadline you expect them to keep to it in fear of negative feedback/dispute.
And above all... BREATHE!:A My prayers are with you! Just think positive and your gorgeous dress will arrive on time!!!

I'm with Rainforest....
We'll all think dead positive thoughts for you, but in the meantime try and find a dress that you can use as a back-up. I'm sure Landy will try their utmost to help you out here, seeing as though it's their mistake!

Don't worry, when I said to Ivan, that I don't mind waiting for a bit longer, but would prefer the dresses to be finished by this friday and in the UK before Easter, as one of my bsmaids lives in Czech and I will go there over Easter to give it to her, the dresses were finished on Tue and delivered yesterday, that was very quick! Somehow I have the feeling they will do your dress as a priority as they messed up... keep us posted and try not to worry, but I know easier said than done, hugs0 -
I got the picture of chiffon chart from Ivan send via email. Will resend it to you RainForest;)0
