Sexy Legs - Ivan is a little star - I'm sure he won't let you down, hun.
I've got everything crossed for you, but I'm sure he'll prioritise your dress and you'll have it really soon!

Thanks everyone for your lovely replies and support, I am stressed out no end and have been in tears tonight, sometimes it just all gets on top of you and my head is swimming.
I will look at the hiring idea (had not thought of that), and have contacted a couple of bridal shops who do have the larger sizes for sale, one lady has provisionally booked me in for the 18th April as she has some off the shelf in my size and another shop said they have quite a few in stock.
I will be chasing Ivan every other day until it arrives, as it was definately there mistake, as I have sent him email where I confirm the order number to him.
A really big thank you to you all, I don't know what I would do without this forum. They say weddings and moving are the most stressful, this is definately more stressful than moving house LOL. :mad:0 -

How are Landy on Swarovski crystals and silk?
The dress my daughter has fallen in love with has a bodice encrusted with crystals and a skirt of silk taffetta, she says this combination makes the dress and to have it in a synthetic fabric just wouldn't be the same as would the bodice in any other beading. She really loves this dress but if we could get it cheaper from Landy it would really help her budget.
Anyone any experiences to share?0 -
Thank you Vendulina for the pictures! All I can say is WOW. I did not expect they are THAT good, no really! The seams look so good and design, and laceback, Beautiful! BTW you look lovely in it!! Thank you for sharing!!!!
I Do like the design, now its one of my favourites! yours and this one0 -
I really like this one too;) , especially how the top layer of chiffon opens in front of the skirt and floats... very Jenny Packhamish:o
On a different note, there is wedding dress at Landy's that I really like and since they have done such a good job on my bsmaids dresses, I have ordered another one:eek: (I have already payed deposit for a dress at bridal shop...), I guess if the dress from Landys is better I just loose the deposit and still save money:money: or have two dresses :A

I'm sorry but I think your daughter is being a unappreciative there. If she was mine, I'd tell her not to be so spoilt.
The whole thing about a wedding dress is that you're painting an illusion - a beautiful cameo of the 'perfect' bride. Nobody is going to stop and inspect the crystals to see if they're plastic or Swarovski - the only one who will know is her (and whoever she tells).
I have a Landy dress (HS1633) with a crystal encrusted bodice and it's beautiful - I didn't specify what beading I wanted them to use, as I didn't care as long as the effect of sparkles was there. Which is it - they've used plastic beads (I think, they might be glass, upon reflection) but it looks lovely and everyone will go ooooh and aaaaah when they see it.
Which is what matters.
If she's worried about the workmanship, then she needed be - it's stunningly good.
All I know is that I paid £150 for a dress that could have cost me ten times that in the UK. And I'm telling everybody that!0 -
