Ha ha I like the bet idea too...
I was actualy wondering about the kind of underwear to wear with it... I was thinking of getting a dress with staps, I am quite lacking the bust department, so afraid it would slide off or smth...ROFL
Is the corset comfy? My cousins wife had a strapless dress (cost a fortune) and the top of it had some sort of wire/boning in the top part to keep the shape of 'neckline' so that wire was pressing very hard on her chest all day, so she showed me horible sores next morning!
So make sure the top part is comfy... it can be ok when you try it on for 15 min so you might not be aware of it, and a different story for the whole day! Maybe some padding would help if it has a rigid neckline(or whatever you call the top part of the corset...LOL!
I really love the look of corset top+jacket, just not sure how the straps would go with the jacket. Jacket is also sparkly? YAY, I love sparkly things!0 -
Oh Louise so pleased for you, thanks a million for the feedback, handy to know the boning isn't too strong, I've seen this shop on ebay recommended on YOYW, can't say myself but might be worth looking into. I'm leaving off ordering mine till May.
How did you feel when you tried it on?
I bought my corset from that shop and it's excellent! Very strong boning and you can pull your waist in LOADS!!!
It was only about £30 too! Re-sult!

I didn't get the corset that was in the link - I got a plainer one which is lower at the front and doesn't have any ruffles or straps.
It also recommends 'training' the corset beforehand, so I shall be wearing it before the big day to get used to it. If it's not comfy I'm just buying a bra lol.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. In truth, they do stick out a bit but my dress has a sweetheart neckline so it's not too bad - especially if I pull the front of the dress up a bit.
I just wish that manufacturers would make a corset with an underwired bra section. You can get either basques that support your boobs but don't pull your waist in or corsets that give you a small waist but flatten your boobs! GRR!
I've got reasonably large boobs but have had three children so they ain't going to prop themselves up - I need scaffolding!!!
