anyway i went onto landy last night and got the warning so clicked off it and tried again today read what google has said and jst a minute ago i got on by clicking ignore this wanring at the bottom corner of the box as i was readint page 3 of this thread and ocldnt resist a look bt had also opened the last page-something like 80! and glad i saw others getting this!
I hope your anti-virus is up to date & you did a full scan after visiting Landy Bridal. Personally I wouldn't touch the site with a bargepole with a warning like that on it, and I certainly wouldn't be putting in any credit card details or making any purchases.

Do run a full scan with the most up-to-date virus definitions installed - according to Google's report Landy's site is dropping trojans and worms which often install keyloggers on your machine.

What's the quality like Gleeful? Will you be happy wearing it?

Quality is reasonable, the back is lovely but the front is a bit dodgy I think. I was lucky enough to pick up a genuine dress last week so won't be wearing this one. It's up on ebay now advertised as a prom dress as it's not a wedding dress due to the colour.

The Landy evening dress I ordered arrived today.
I've thought hard about posting this, and I hope this does not upset anyone, but I have to say I am very disappointed, and I am posting this in the hope that I can stop anyone else wasting a lot of money, as I unfortunately have :(
Thankfully, for me, this dress was 'just' for evening wear. I would have been devastated if I'd ordered a wedding dress and it arrived in this state. It has been an expensive mistake too, as I paid 20 odd euro supplement for a plus size, which was not mentioned anywhere until I had completed checkout and received the demand by email.

Quite apart from the fact it doesn't fit (too small, in spite of me ordering a size larger than I thought I needed, on the premise that it could be taken in but not made bigger), the stitching is of poor quality, the dress isn't finished properly - trimming is just tacked on randomly, and the material is not of particularly nice quality, especially the lining. The dress weighs a ton too, so would be expensive to post back for them to sort out. I think it is going straight to the charity shop.

It may or may not be a coincidence that my credit card details were 'compromised' at some point shortly after this transaction with Landy. My credit card issuer stopped my card and I had to phone the fraud team to verify my recent transactions. I had to have a new card, new account number and PIN.

... Today I received an invoice for £7.49 in VAT from DHL, who apparenty paid this on my behalf prior to delivery and only just thought to let me know
I took the wretched dress (unworn) to a charity shop weeks ago, and had pretty much forgotten all about it.

I would never order from Landy again either, the dress was awful, the communication was rubbish and I too have had a customs letter from DHL.

I sold my dress on ebay as a prom dress for £50, making a loss of £190 so that's obviously all the dress was worth!

I've just seen the photo Angelina. Not nice at all I'm afraid. However, I hope you get suited with whomever you choose.

really?i thought to buy my dress from it
I wouldn't. Unless you have nerves of steel to wait 3 times as long as the time they quote you for the dress to arrive!

Although I bought my dress from landy and am happy, with the reviews that are coming out I wouldn't for a wedding this summer. If you have lots of time, maybe order a bridesmaid dress to check quality or wait till a quieter period of the year - such as the end of summer as it seems the busy wedding season has taken a toll on quality.

Also be very very realistic about what you want - if it has to be perfect - buy from a shop or a local dressmaker so that you get want you want. If you are a pretty laid back bride with lots of time to rectify any potential disasters then you are less likely to be disppointed

Is Landy Bridal still in business? Tried looking on their website over the past few days but no joy.
