    Thanks Rinroo.
It will at least give her the opportunity to try the shape and style of the dress, we know that Milly can do it so it will be interesting to see how much the 'original' costs :)

Just realised i put the hoop on under the dress inside out thats why you can see the wire through the fabric at the bottom!!!!! no wonder i couldnt walk very well in it :rotfl:!!!
  • Whoa! 62 pages I don't have time for all that reading!

I've seen a wedding dress I love... for £1,400! The most I want to spend on a dress is around £250-300. Do Landy custom-make wedding dresses based on photos you send them? If so, how much roughly does this service cost?

The dress I've seen is on forgetmenot designs under French and then Bordeaux (sorry, new user so can't post a direct link just yet!)

    Thanks in advance!

OMG! You sound a spitting image of me! Are you from Winchester? Are you me? LOL.
The dress I saw is a forget me not range. It's called Naomi. And it was £1,400 in the shop and I thought !!!!!! that Landy can make it for me!So I sent them the pictures and they replied they can make and it how much it was. Lets just say it was less that the £400!! Never mind the 1k bit! Think it I was quoted about a £120?

Sorry, not from Winchester and - *looks down* - don't appear to be you, either! ;)

Just had an email back from Landy: "The price is EUR 20 including postage, is this ok for you?" Methinks someone forgot to put an extra zero in!

Yep, confirmed in another email two minutes later! "Sorry for my error. I mean EUR 200 incuding postage."

It makes long threads easier to read if you go to go to- user cp click edit options then on Thread Display options change the number of posts per page settings to the maximum which is 40 posts per page.
Of course there will still be the same number of posts it just makes them easier to scan through, just to illustrate this thread is only 31 pages long for me. Good luck with the dress.
    Booo!!!
  • Hey ladies

well i have finally started trying dresses on and i love this mori lee one makes me look really curvy. but again im having the dilema landy or original. i spoke to my fiance and he said i should go for whichever would make me feel a million dollars and i think probably the original and as much as we can afford the original i would rather spend the money on our honeymoon. the only thing that puts me off landy is if it will look cheap in comparrison to the original any suggestions ladies

if you look at the mori lee site and then select the blu bridal collection its on the 3rd page and its the first dress has a brooch and puff ball at the bottom x
