I've priced something like this in 100% silk at around £450. The embelishments are the costly bits. So, there ya have it, 30 mins!!!

    Thanks Linda,
    Knew you'd come through ;)
Slight difference in price to Packham I have to say! lol

Rinroo, yes she does appreciate what I do. She can't do it at school because of firewalls on the pc's and she doesn't really want her students peeking over her shoulder! lol
I'm treading a fine line between being a helpful mum and and interfiering one (I hope I'm getting it right!)!
Part of the problem is that she has a lovely curvy size 12 figure (not like her mum lol) and looks fab in everything she tries.
The closest she's come to buying a dress was a Packham that was reduced to half price (still over 1k) but then found a coffee stain on the train!
I'm hoping that a price from Landy will give her a slight push into making her mind up!

    Where abouts Missk??

@ sal. Quotes depend on how much sourcing needs to be done. I can look at a gown and think x meters of fabric. Silks range from £4.50m for a chiffon/georgette to £14.00 for a beautiful crepe satin like the image. So, you'd be looking at around £100 for the fabrics. I like to give quotes within 24 hours, but sometimes they can take a few days. I never leave them longer than 4.
Forgot to add Sal, if you use synthetic satin, you can knock around £50-70 off the price.

Hi Ladies, I posted a while ago on a Landy thread when I received my wedding dress from them and was over the moon with it, it was everything I was hoping it would be. My 5 Bridesmaid dresses come the other day and I just wanted to let you all know that Landy come through again. OMG they are gorg and really well made, look just like the picture and fitted really well. I asked for a discount on the dresses and he agreed. Landy has helped my dream wedding become possible :)

JP is a fantastic designer. On the pedestal of wedding designers along with verg Wang etc.
The reason her gowns are so expensive is you have the whole package. The designer has a reputation and is in demand. She designs the gowns has them made etc. I just do the construction, although I do design with the help of the client.
You pay for the privilege of wearing a JP. It's like Thorntons chocs. More expensive than Milk Tray. People buy Thorntons and are willing to pay the price because they have their reputation in the market. Milk Tray are just as nice, but Thorntons are on the pedestal of chocs!
