Having a gown come from abroad, different thing. Iron as above and then transport. Shouldn't need re pressing. If the venue has a laundry service, they may be able to do this for you. Always worth asking.
I had a hand held steamer but when helping brides, maids, mums etc on the morning I always took my iron!!

I ain't taking any risk! I'm taking an iron steamer thingy with me!!:eek:

Oh I have lol. But I haven't done this iron it - in mid air - swinging on string thing. So this could be fun. Bet I will get stressed out with it and throw the iron across the room :rolleyes:

Well, in an effort to get some decisions made by my darling dithering daughter! lol
I have emailed Landy and asked them to quote for a dress similar to Jenny Packham's 'Selene', it seems to have most of the things dd requires so it will give us an idea of how much they will charge then we'll get a quote nearer home. (I'm also hoping that if I sit here batting my eyelashes like crazy, Linda may help out). How long to quotes normally take girls?
