Pigpen you have my full support in getting extremely drunk just to get through the rest of the day. !!!!!! it's just not right how such a lovely person can have such a rotten day :( I hope, that that's your run of bad things, and that things only get better (sorry but I don't think it can get much worse)
Forgot to say before Michelle WOW what a cake!!!! I wish I was as creative, speaks volumes when my kids ask for their favourite a 'catepillar cake' every year from the supermarket :o
g&b sounds like she's on the mend, isn't it awful when they're soooo cute and calm when they are ill that you sometimes have a little thought of 'I wish you were like that all the time' or is that just me, the bad parent :o
Wohooooo Jill, bet you're pleased with the weather being so shocking I know I couldn't survive at the mo without my TD.

DP was going out so have conned him into dropping DS2 off on the way, usually I drop him off before he goes out but it's a slightly later start tonight, then DS1 could eat his lunch in peace and I can catch up with you guys, must remember 7.15pm collecting him!! I did send his form however :D I remembered something for a change :o because I typed it on here.

Anyway, DS1s quiet because he's eating, going to use this time to do something with him for a change, not often I get the chance, flying can wait because this is more important. He wants to go through the Beamish website ready for his trip this week.

I really want to go to sleep now :(
One day I might be more organised...........

    2. It was my mothers elderly neighbours funeral today.. THEN...... oh it gets better!!

    3. on my way to school my mother rang me.. I thought she was laughing but she was nigh on hysterical.. turns out my stepdad had rang her saying his youngest brother had been killed...

THEN... oh yes there is more!!

    4. I get home from the school run after battling the geriatrics in the post office.. next time their zimmers get it..

DS1 is sitting on the doorstep with 3 questions/issues

    2. I've been suspended and you have to go into see the principal
    3. can he and the pregnant gf move in.

  • Evening all!

An early finish for me - was working off site so made my way home instead of driving all the way back only to turn around and come home :j

    My list for the evening:

Tuesday trauma - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Sweep and mop floors[/strike]
    Clean the oven.. [strike]& hob[/strike]
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
[strike]Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc [/strike]
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. [strike]don't forget those kick boards..[/strike]
Clean out your mankiest kitchen cupboard..
    Extra Mission : help yourself
    1. Degunge the fridge
    2. Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    3. 34 fling boogie.. [strike]
    4. Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET
    5. [/strike]
More feeling generally chuffed as the flat gets sparklier. Mopped the floor and it didn't look any different. So I scrubbed it. Bucket of water went a satisfying grey colour :D ... it's come to something when I find myself proudly recounting on the internet about the filthy state I let the flat get into!!!

Took a look in the oven. No chance. That might be a whole evening's task in itself. All done for this evening. I have portfolio entries to do and want to fire off a few hundred words dissertat-ing before reaching for the wine.

Miserable housemate seems to have gone out for the evening so will make the most of it and enjoy my (getting lovelier by the day) little nest...

Wicked cake Michelle - Thomas the tank is, of course, THE man so big respect to your cake theme.

So sorry to hear you've had yet another day of it pigpen - there surely can't be any more coming your way? Big hug. And perhaps a slice of T the Tank choc cake???

Didn't go peg hunting but have added peg etiquette to my reading material for the night. Must remember to file it appropriately or my supervisor may be more than just a little bemused... I can picture the scene now and it's tres amusing indeed:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Right... dissertation... GO!
