Game Store Refusing to Honour Its Ts&Cs

If Game didn't rip people off by forcing them to buy a bundle at £800 when all they want is a console on its own and 1 or two games then I could understand their policy. Serves them right for being greedy.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

well Game's terms and conditions quite clearly state you can return items from a bundle but the remaining items will be charged at the normal price rather than a discounted price. and as of right now these t & c are still present on their website.
the people who did buy over the website and went to the store to return, did you have to get a returns authorisation number first or is that only if you post it back?0 -
You only need to get the returns number if you post it back.0

Got my £770 xbox 360 premium pack with 10 games and extra controller from GAME, went back 2 hours later returned 8 games, just kept waving the GAME T's & C's I had printed off the website and pointed out he hadn't specifically made me aware of any specific changes with regards xbox 360 bundles, therefore the T&C's stood as was- £414 refund, I thankyou! Manager did a lot of face pulling and beotching that what I did was totally out of order and I had 'conned him' but he still refunded them!

I see no problem in returning the goods to a store if you don't want them. Microsoft are selling the consoles without games. Game are taking advantage of parents who want a 360 and have no option but to shop with them and pay for items they don't want or need, just to please their children.
Fine let Game change their T&C sometime in the future, but for now, take advantage and buy only what you want.
Ivan you're a cynical !!!!!!.0 -
ps i took 4 games back to Game yesterday and the young lad behind the counter was very pleasant, telling me that several people have done the same thing and the best thing is, without any prompting from me "I can see why they do it".0

Personally I love Game. The shop I use is brilliant, the staff are helpful and there have been many occasions when my son has bought a game, completed it within ten days and returned it for a full refund. Their trade in is excellent as well.
Is it really true that you can only buy the 360 as a bundle? Surely someone somewhere must have had/have got just the console?
I do think returning the games from a bundle is a bit naughty but I can understand the reasons why. Personally, I think the 360 is massively over rated and over priced. I heard on the news that there are a number of consoles that are crashing and/or overheating.0 -
I ordered an XBox 360 core console bundle from Game for £394, 2 days later Argos had the Premium on its own in stock so I ordered that from there.
Does anyone know whether I can return the console+games back to GAME via post as I tried to return the whole package today at a Game store but the manager stated they don't accept console returns within their 10 day policy. I can't find anywhere on the Game website stating that they won't accept a console return unless anyone knows any different?
My question is, can I return the whole lot back to GAME via the post?
If yes, does that mean I have to spend money on booking a courier?0 -

They used to break the seals on games purchased as part of a package (i.e. free) with consoles - that way you could not return them by themselfs and get the full RRP. I was a bit annoyed about this at the time as I used to sell them on ebay and it looks better if you can say they are sealed, but I can understand why they were doing it.
If they break the seals though before they go through the tills you should demand they write on the receipt that they have broken the seals as this will cover you if they are selling used games. If they break them after they have gone through the till and you have paid they are interferring with your goods and have no right to do so.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)0
