The new servers are now two weeks old. Remember it is ONLY the chat forum that has them. So how are they doing - have you noticed a speed increase, reliability.

Before pages weren't loading properly and I wasn't getting the smilies or images so it was harder to read. Now.... :rudolf: :snow_laugTorgwen..........

I still have an issue with hanging, although it is nowhere near the level it was at the start, and it is more intermittant now.
I haven't found a great deal of difference in speed tbh, in fact yesterday and today I'm having to wait for pages to load.
The banner at the top is always very speedy, it's just that whatever follows isn't.Herman - MP for all!0 -

I'm the same as aliasojo - top bar loads quickly, then the rest of the page hangs. I also haven't noticed a huge increase in speed, occasionally it is noticeably faster, but not often.
I also find the fact that when you thank some-one, you end up at the top of the page again and have to scroll down to continue reading the posts. Especially annoying if you are at post 39.
I regularly clean my pc,so don't think that has anything to do with it (unless someone can tell me differently)

i second what aliasjo said - tha banner is always very quick, what follows is what takes the time.

Yesterday the formatting went all weird but apart from that I haven't really noticed a difference. I view that as a good thing though, people don't tend to notice things running well, they just notice problems... and there haven't been any.Just run, run and keep on running!0

Generally the speeds have been much better. However, I've also had the same problem (quite a bit somedays) as aliasojo. The headers at the top will load, but the rest of the page 'hangs'. I've also noticed a few times that ¾ of the page will load OK, but it won't load the last few posts. My browser loading bar (Firefox) shows that it is still waiting for info from the site. I normally close the page and click the link again to solve this. The majority of times this cures this problem.
I'm figuring that it is a site problem, because it doesn't normally happen on other websites. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I get the top bar virtually seconds after a click the link, but the rest of the page takes a bit longer to load. I also had a problem last night when the site wouldn't load at all. I just received a white screen - perhaps this was due to traffic.
I have noticed a slight speed increase in the page loading. Before, I used to click the link, and there would sometimes be a 15 - 20 second gap between the top bar and rest of the page loading, now it is quicker but doesn't load all in one go.

I have just been kicked out of the Chat Forum and was trying to gain access for around 10 minutes. I could gain access to the main page but not the Chat Forum...........until just now.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride.
