Another problem (if you could call it that) is when I'm trying to insert a smilie. Sometimes there's a hang between clicking on the smilie and it actually appearing in the post.

It can hang long enough for me to give up and not to bother with a smilie after all.

I have never experienced this before on the old site.

Just happened again. It started at 7.08PM. This has lasted for quite a while.

While this was happening, just out of interest I was using Ping Plotter (traceroute, but puts it into a graph) it pings every 5 seconds. I couldn't get anything to the forums, but the main site was showing some very funny results for the hop just before. The results for 209.97.192.226 were erratic to say the least. Averaging around 175ms, jumping up to 300ms, then all of a sudden went to 5072ms(basically offline) it went back down approx 10 seconds later. Packet loss for this hop was jumping from 10% to 20%.

I'm gutted, I should have saved the results!

as I cant get nowt up on Ping Plotter........

I normally use the typed address ( https://www.moneysavingexpert.com ) I don't think you'll get this at the moment. I see the main page is down as I type. The IP for the main page is 69.10.152.196

sorry.....I normally try http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com to ping the forums. Just tried this and got no response.
