Yes it does that. The ornate decorative marquees will be those white tent thingies I saw on the other link!
And you can see Santa with his reindeer on Saturday, but the real ones are arriving on Sunday?!
And I've just read it says real snow......now I've got to go,I love making snowmen...I don't want to buck the system....I just want it to WORK!!!0 -

Here's an exclusive image of the Formula 1 Race Track. Exclusive, we had it before the Daily Mail.0 -
Post number 380 on page 19 of this thread by me, has a picture of the first part of the west midlands website as it originally appeared.... you can see quite a few things have changed already and that is before the event has even begun!!
The daily mail article says that the ice rink is definitely not going ahead
I don't know what their source for that is other than common sense that if it isn't on site by now it's not going to be ready I guess!!0 -
. . . so having paid by PayPal -- which exists to protect your credit card details etc from the merchant -- you have to turn up at Lapland West Midlands with:
(a) your PayPal transaction number (which if you're a registered PayPal user will have your ID there as well);
(b) the credit or debit card you used on PayPal and which no merchant in such circumstances ever gets to see
(c) a document testifying to your home address.
Now then, let's see what else is missing from this collection of confidential personal data you're about to hand over to a complete stranger in a field near Wolverhampton? Ah yes:
1) Your passport
2) Your driving licence
3) Your bank account number
4) The account numbers of all your savings accounts.
I know some people want Christmas to come early, but where Lapland West Midlands is concerned, this is getting ridiculous. . .0 -
Oh I wish I lived nearby.
It must be a funny site to watch them all beavering away, scratching their heads.Do you reckon they've got a laptop to keep up with this thread:rotfl:
Oh and I'd like to be a fly on the wall wherever this website is being worked on....
Now this I'd actually pay good money for!:rotfl: :rotfl:I don't want to buck the system....I just want it to WORK!!!0 -

Incorrect.
It's going to be Jenson Button and the well known Honda Formula 1 Team.
Bernie Ecclestone is to appear as an Elf, or Evil Dwarf, I can't remember which.0 -

I never give my home adress to anyone in the street etc....does that not give rise to the possible assumption that your house may be empty.
Especially if it's a family outing?I don't want to buck the system....I just want it to WORK!!!0 -

Can you imagine how much time this is going to take to check against their booking lists etc?
If say a few thousand people turn up, it would take hours to actually get in. Also like you quite rightly say, a PayPal payment does not give the merchant your card details, so taking your credit card and showing them is going to prove nothing. What if you had funds in your paypal account and didn't actually use a credit card? They would not know what method you funded your PayPal account with.
Something is wrong, very wrong with that ID collection. Maybe the Home Office are going to be inputting it on a database against cruelty to Elves or similar?
I think we should offer a reward, for the first pictures of what this does actually look like tomorrow once it is opened is awarded a prize of say £20?
To claim it you would need to post them on here, along with the same ID requested to get in? We promise not to use your details and credit cards for illegal purposes.
I bet the Daily Mail are there all night and most definitely tomorrow.0 -

I doubt Honda would be able to afford the entrance fee, let alone the transport. Good job Max ain't coming, we all know what happens when he's in a private place.0 -

Absolutely.
Which means it's going to be a total nightmare for me on Sunday.
The website says I need to book now as Sunday is "almost sold out".
So I've only managed to order 900 tickets. The website says my shopping cart contains £22,500sworth of orders.
My Gawd though, this Lapland must be covering a bigger area than I thought.
* If anyone wishes to buy one of the last remaining 900 tickets for Sunday's almost-sold-out "Experience", just send a note up your chimney and I'll pick it up in due course.0
